ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

New CEO Moores certainly talks the RS talk. Refers to City as neighbours, claims to be a Red (yeah I know - odds on a lapsed Blue as born 1954 or 1955 when they definitely were NOT the team round these parts - in other words another "Cilla" Red). Says the stars are aligned for a title challenge ("disisouryear" - again).

Mother of God.

This guy knows how to tickle their tummies.

"We're in this together, we are a collective. The socialist beliefs that are core to this club all pulling together here. It's very unique and very different.

"If you grew up here in the sixties as a kid and a family these were tough times. There were very few things you had to hang on to or look forward to - for all of us it was three o'clock on a Saturday afternoon at Anfield."

Moore says fans will drive his decision-making.

He also rambled on about sitting in the pub, eavesdropping on three fans talking about tactics and transfer tactics.

Talks about "socialist beliefs" as if he wasn't a millionaire domicile in the States for four decades.

A full on, card carrying cultist by the sounds of it :pint2:

I have it on good authority - a Blue who does data management work for them as a contractor - that they only employ Reds. Whilst this might seem a nice idea and all that they clearly are picking from a limited pool of talent.

Very biased view this. Can only assume you weren't around then. We had the County Road Cutters which was the most notorious firm outside of London. We were also feared for our racist element. Black palyers hated coming to Goodison (ask Les Ferdinand). Barnes back heeling a banana at Goodison an iconic image.

There wasn't the big hooha among fans of other clubs then either (unlike yours) as hooliganism was rampant throughout the game. Could have been any team. The most famous hooligan of the day, our very own Andy Nicholls, was at Heysel that day. Innocently viewing a game of another team I'm sure. English teams were banned because hooliganism was an English problem, not one teams problem. Italian hooliganism was right up there also and lasted much longer than here. Those missiles that Juve fans were throwing weren't innocently landing on rival fans. Or the knifing fom Roma fans the year prior. Some very blinkered views from people who weren't around then.

Looks like they are nailed on to sign Chelsea reject Salah for £43 million.

19 goals 12 assists last year.

Is Serie A still a tough ultra defensive league or is it more expansive these days.

Deulofeu got 4 goals and 3 assists in 16 games for a worse team and with less kneed get of his team mates game.

It's a dreadful signing imo. Particularly as its not an area that needs attention.

Salah is good. Fast, tricky, hard working. They wanted him before Chelsea- he took them apart whilst playing for Basel irc?

Disagree, i think it would be an excellent signing

Suits there style of play, adds to the depth of players that can score 12-16 goals a season for them,, and is also a similar player to Mane, who they miss when he is out there team.

The "chelsea reject" thing is irrelevant because they bought him on the basis to stop liverpool buying him originally, and the likes of Lukaku, De Bruyne, Cuadrado etc are all "chelsea rejects"

disgusting the amount of braindead "men" i've seen walking around cardiff bay today for that legends match kited out in their RS tops and kitted up all their kids head to toe in the current kit. There's going to be thousands of juve fans in the area today, possibly some who were affected by the murders who will definitely feel some kind of sadness seeing that scummy shirt and badge be paraded around, especially in the week of it's anniversary. Why couldn't they have left their scabby shirts at home for this weekend, utterly tasteless and a total lack of respect and disregard for the whole occasion imo.

If i was unfortunate enough to have decided to choose to support that team and actually still able to look in the mirror and say i supported them, the last thing i would think of wearing for such an event would be that top. Absolute scum.

That certainly was not true of five or six years ago. Back then, there were (and possibly still are) reds working at GP and definitely Blues were working at Anfield.

If they have chosen a RS supporters only policy in their employment procedures, surely they are being discriminatory ?

And yes, it would mean they're recruiting from a limited and blinkered pool of talent.
