Do you think Everton will win the derby first or will Liverpool win the league first.

Mate, the world laughs at your club, with it's "our year" every year prophecy.

We will win the derby many many times before you (f you ever) win the league again. Small club these days, accept it.

A '6 pointer' at Mordor tomorrow, as both set of (totally deluded) fans, think they can still win the Prem this season.

We know how it goes', Rafael lauds the RS all week, and the Kop welcomes the FSW back with open arms.

The RS roll them over 5-0, Klopp pats Rafael on the head.

Everyone goes' home happy.

Weirdly enough there is probably something in that. I read somewhere that Egypt had basically switched from United to the rs on mass since Salah moved, such is his personal appeal in that country.

They'll all change again to Real Madrid fans soon enough, so it won't be of any lasting benefit to them, but there is little denying Salah is a marketing dream for whoever owns him.
What would the commercial benefit be though, in terms of Egypt?

Very little I'd imagine. It is not a first world country by any stretch, with a small middle class, the majority of whom will have no interest in football. The economy is run by and for the military, a state within a state.

The RS are welcome to it.

funny how they're bragging about turning a profit whilst failing to mention the 66mill they agreed to spend on keita....so thats what £37 mill loss?

Pass.

That said, there are 100m odd in the country so you would imagine they might be able to find some indirect way to monetise any popular support they enjoy over there. There must be a few companies selling stuff in Egypt that fancy a piece of brand Salah.

A pittance in the grand scheme of things. Maybe more if the effect extends beyond Egypt in any meaningful sense. But like I said, he'll be in Madrid within 16 months so it certainly isn't worth worrying about.

I have a feeling that any Muslim who thought about the matter wouldn't be that impressed by the sentiment: "I'll be Muslim too" on the basis of a few scored goals. They'd take it as an insult. Unlike most Christians they view their religion seriously.

I'm calling BS on the feller on that BBC story who made the claim. He just pushed at an open media door.

Ha Ha Ha. FFS. Libpoolfootballclub bring about world peace.

I really do wish these media sycophants would take a look at who that club were formed by and their historic record of bigotry and murderous activity.

A cesspit of a club that no deodorant like this is ever going to make smell of roses.

"The Mo Salah song shows how tolerant and welcoming the people of Liverpool really are."

Just as long as you're not disabled wanting to sit in the kop.

Besides making the mistake of equating Liverpool supporters with people from Liverpool, the feller has no idea of that club's infamous history - a history based on bigotry.

I can understanding his motives: a member of a group in this country who have been demonised seizing on any bit of news that might seem inclusive, but he's just not at the races in terms of his knowledge of the subject.

The words hypocrisy/double/treble standards dont even begin to cover the RS 'when it suits' standards. It wasn't that long ago that there was this shameful episode...not surprisingly given the 'its been and gone - so shhhhh' treatment over the park. Vintage RS.
