ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

You haven’t scored 28 goals against the English clubs remaining in the games lge, you’ve scored 8 in total against the lot of them combined. City put 7 past you in 2 games, Spurs 6, Chelsea came for a draw but cut you apart once with ease when they decided to attack and you couldn’t get a kick.

You've been convincingly out played 90% of the time You’ve conceded goals for fun, took a couple of hidings along the way and been fortunate enough to benefit from uncharacteristic mistakes from individuals like Dier and Edison meaning you’ve scored a couple of goals more than they’re performances actually warranted but as I’m sure you’re fully aware, your a vastly inferior side to Spurs, City and Chelsea and all 3 will comfortably put you out based on what we’ve seen in those head to head games this year.

To be fair to you lot, behind closed doors, when amongst you’re own, you all know there miles ahead of you and don’t mind admitting it.

I look forward to you playing your first half decent side soon, it’ll be a good laugh.

Agreed. They’ve been lucky with mistakes from other sides and questionable referee decisions all season long. It finally caught up to them against Spurs. Without those, and the ridiculous form of Salah, they’d be hovering around Arsenal. They’ll return to being a 7th place side next season.

Thanks! Difficult to say pre-draw to be honest but what kind of fan would I be if I didn't say we could win it? :) For a side playing like a Championship team (scoring 28 goals in 7 games) we're doing pretty well if you ask me.

Granted, there will be far tougher tests to come but I can't wait to see what happens. This might sound crazy but the side i'd want to avoid the most at this stage is Spurs. Other than the fact they're a great team (with a world class manager) they've already played us twice this season and been very strong. They know what to expect from us. Other European teams don't have that experience so i'd like to think we could surprise them more with our high press and attack. Regardless, after such a long time away from the competition i'm just enjoying the ride!
Your English is very good for a Norwegian Lad.

I’m not sure you can win it because for me your Manager is still naive.
I also think you have two fantastic players who basically carry your team, Salah and Firmino. I think the rest will be found out against better opposition. I think you’re right in one sense though, you’ll have more of a chance against teams you can surprise.

It was the moment that signaled Liverpools decline for me.It was the night people realised, that they were beatable and not so invincible after all.

Arsenal have actually won league titles at Anfield in 1989 Old Trafford in 2002 and White Hart Lane in 1971.Winning the league at three of your most hated rivals grounds. It would be boss to see Everton do something like that.
You could be right mate but I also think the banning of the back pass in 1992 had a lot to do with it.
Its just a shame we misunderstood the rule change and thought they had abolished the forward pass.

why do you keep posting in this thread?
My posting history covers a wide range of threads and thread types including the famous Everton forum, and most of my posts are utterly hilarious, hence the high volume of likes I have received.

I'd hardly call one post as getting touchy, but there we go. Your post smacks of a kopite wum posting just to make us look bad so you can Swan over to rawk and say "look at dem bitter blood wanting to break our players legs". Before they actually use that as a yardstick to represent our whole fan base.

We've had our fair share of leg breakers in the last couple of years and those lot have celebrated it like their first trophy in god knows when. Our fans wouldn't react that way.

Last 3 games they played struggling park bus teams in the league and won all 3 scoring 8 goals, the loss of Coutinho looks like it's not being felt which is a surprise, they are still averaging 2-3 goals a game.

Only teams left in the Champions League who can do that job on them and nullify them is Juventus who are a machine at the dark arts of defending as a team, but they have a difficult game against Spurs on Wednesday and could go out and the other team is Mourinho's 500 million pound bus.

The rest of the teams in the competition play on the front foot which is perfect for a counter attacking team like the RS.

Barca don't look a vintage side, old and reliant on Messi still.
Real are in all sorts of a mess.
PSG on the brink of going out.
Bayern will be typical Bayern of recent years and be under cooked because they are winning the league at a cantor and that team that last won the Champions league is 5 years older.
Man City are the hot favourites for me with a 600 million outlay in 3 windows and the cup is theirs to lose.

Barcelona are old? Wtf are you on about?

Other than Iniesta and Messi they're all under 30.

Real Madrid have lost one game since the new year and that was without Ronaldo.
Bayern always win the league easily.

According to the Red Echo, the whole of Analfield were singing Rafael's name, with 4 minutes of the match remaining.

If it was 2-0 to the Skunks, doubt those 'lovable' red's would be so gracious.

I think they would've done actually because that would have REALLY shown what a great bunch of lads they are. Like when they suffer and upset in the Cup at home, some of them are desperate for them to go out so they can clap the opposition off and have everyone talk about how they're the greatest supporters in all the land.

Barca have Pique(31) Messi (31) Suarez (31) Iniesta (33) all over 30 then next season they have Rakitic Busquets Paulinho Alba being 30 next year,it's not a vintage Barca that is no where near the level of Pep's team and the MSN treble team and that team needs a overhaul badly, the new manager constantly keeps picking the same eleven every week that had a 16 point lead in the league cut down to 5 before the Atletico game yesterday, this set of players has to much mileage on it and still reliant on Messi and la Liga is a shocking league this season, sub standard real team this season that has lost 3 games against leganes villareal espanyol since the turn of the year,Seville are regressing badly,Atletico got knocked out of a easy group in the CL and are the best of the worst bunch struggle to score 2 a game and Valencia a average side who have battled relegation the last 3 season are 3rd in the league with practically the same team gary neville flopped with.

Bayern since the treble season have under performed in the CL because they are under cooked playing in such a uncompetitive league when they were strong getting to finals in 2012 and 2013 they had a strong Dortmund battling them for a title, they win the league in march now with no team pushing them hard, just like PSG they flatter to deceive in spring time in Europe.

30 next year! OMG!

Badly in need of an overhaul? They're unbeaten in the league and have conceded 13 goals all season. What do you mean by too much mileage?

2017 - Bayern lost in extra time after going down to 10 men in both games to the eventual winners.
2016 - Semi finalists and only lost to the ridiculous away goals rule.
2015 - Semi finalists and knocked out by eventual winners.
2014 - Semi finalists again.

2013 - Bayern Munich won the league by 25 points. Just saying.

2011 - Knocked out in the 2nd round. And Dortmund won the league.

You theory has some flaws. Just saying.

No i think your previous post had major flaws

The Catalan press the last few weeks have been slamming the barca manager for not rotating players letting a 16 point gap slip to 5 points before sunday,he played iniesta at 33 in 4 games in 10 days,he went off yesterday after 15 minutes with a hamstring injury, suarez hasn't scored in the CL this year,he's padding his stats this season against the same 14 team relegation battling fodder in la liga ,everyone can see that core of players has a ton of mileage Pique Busquets Messi Iniesta have been mainstays in the barca teams since Rijkaard and pep managed them, all those players play in major tournaments and go deep in world cups euros and copa's and all are and will be on the wrong side of 30 by next season, its a old aging team and next season will have 7 players over 30 in the first 11.

And yes Bayern have underachieved since treble side, employed Pep,pillaging Dortmunds best core of players and not adding another CL trophy and the only top player they lost is Kroos.

2014 they got spanked 6-0 on aggregate by Real playing that odd formation.
2015. Pep again played a 2-3-2-3 formation against MSN leaving his 2 CB's totally exposed and got battered, that formation won him the league again early spring and was exposed against a top team in europe.
2016..Atletico schooled them in shutting down their attack in 180 minutes where they scored over 120 goals in germany.
2017. QF's They got beat 6-3 on aggregate by real again.

Just like PSG..both teams the last 5 years once they come up against one of the big guns they go out.

They were never 16 points clear of second place. You're getting confused, they were 16 points clear of Real Madrid.

Suarez always padded his record with goals against the lesser teams, hattricks agaisnt Norwich etc.
All teams are ageing, it's the nature of nature. The majority of the team is under 30 and those that aren't are all time greats, one of them is the greatest player that's ever graced the game.
They've just signed Liverpool's best player don't forget.

You're back pedalling now...was it the lack of domestic competition or the 'odd' formations? Come on son, you're floundering here... I'll give you another go.

Remember they won the CL in 2013 when they won the Bundesliga by 25 points.

Regardless of age they're all still fantastic players. Your lot have two, Salah and Firmino, out you go next round, no matter who you get.

Mods can we close this thread until we're half decent again?

It's utterly embarrassing. People looking for any little reason to laugh at 'them' despite us being truly awful.

And we wonder why we get labelled as bitter? LOL. Seriously this is embarrassing beyond belief.
Sorry but isn't this the whole point of this thread?
