ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

Butland is a top keeper imo, I certainly would have been happy with either him or Pickford last summer ( so I was delighted we got Pickford ).

I still think that would leave them short though Mikey as I think they need two top full backs and a other top centre half to be anywhere near competing for the title.

Put it this way, I think we've got as much chance of winning the title as they have next season.....and I give us only a 0.5% chance of it happening!
What have you been smoking?

I've watched them a fair bit this season mainly because of Forsberg and also since we loaned Lookman.

Not once did he stand out.
I see him scuttling about either side of the centre circle with no great impact. When he gets hold of the ball deep he moves forward at laughable pace. No midfield in the PL is ever going to allow him to carry a threat forward.

I dont see what he offers Liverpool: he wont be as good as even Lucas was in screening the back four, and he wont offer the threat say Can nor Henderson offer going forward. He has nice balance...but then you expect that for a short arse. :coffee:

Nah lad he’s class despite not kicking a ball in the premier league and indisputably better than Can who is so poor he’s walking into Juventus’ first team. Final piece of the Jigsaw. You. Are. Afraid.

I watched him against a woeful Stuttgart team yesterday struggling to find team mates with pretty basic passes.

I dont see what you'd pay £48M for. Maybe he's just coasting this season and isn't pulling his finger out. But I've seen most of his televised games and he looks about as good as Harry Artur or at best Darren Fletcher.

‘I can’t explain for those four or five seconds why I reacted like that. It never happened before and it won’t happen again. This whole incident, the family I’ve dragged them into and it’s devastating for them.’

Sorry jamie. But if spitting at a moving car because they are winding you up about the score is what you do instinctively then someone is telling lies there.

People don't normally spit at other people out of impulse if it has never happened before in nearly 40 years .

It’s like when somebody’s reaction is to shout something racist but then say they aren’t racist and just can’t explain it. As you say If spitting at a car is your go to response to somebody saying 2-1 then it’s hard to believe it’s not something that’s already in your locker .

On Saturday Van Dijk showed why lfc will concede goals, he walked around aimlessly when Manu attacked for their two goals and Mata's overhead kick. Get the ball forward quickly to a big forward who has players around him and lfc are vulnerable.

Just watched the highlights on motd, he's the big name signing, supposed to be a leader.

... So why on earth was he hiding by marking absolutely nobody whilst letting lovren get bullied by lukaku? Just what have they wasted their money on? Someone who can score 3 goals a season? Because the lad can't defend for toffee.
