Why on earth did Merseyside police say the bus was on its way? I can't get my head around it, it's utterly bizarre. Tbf, city should have taken a stand and told the police to clear the area before they would arrive, especially after all the threats and plans that were made on social media.

It's not the first time this has happened and won't be the last. After what happened to Alan Smith none of their mutant fans should be allowed near team buses or ambulances. The true definition of cowardly from their fans nothing will be done again of course.

Don't think anyone is doubting that Dave, but we all know what they're like in Euro comps.

...I also know what Madrid, Barca and Bayern are like in Euro competitions.

It's a shame City bottled it. We now have to wait until May 1st to confirm Liverpool's season has ended. It's frustrating, but they will exit next round. They are quite simply the least talented and least experienced team left in the SFs.

The Bundesliga table is a barometer of nothing, it's a joke league. City are about to win the PL with ease and they've just made an absolute show of them.

Definitely. Both clubs will win a Champions league one day probably no matter how much it costs but both lack something that you can't buy. Madrid have been miles off the pace in their own league this season but look like favourites for the competition because they have that special pedigree.

It was unbelievable how amateurish City looked tonight, even with a European Cup winning player and two time winning Manager leading them. I don't like calling City a plastic club because at the end of the day how else is a club supposed to crack the elite sides of the league (hope we do it ourselves) but they were a joke tonight. Looked every bit a side who had only been in serious business for 10 years and as you say it was the same for PSG in the previous round.

Bayern have had a very easy ride to the Semis and that was despite finishing 2nd in their group in which they were completely humbled by PSG away which led to a 2 time Champions league winning Manager getting the sack. Two of their best players are still Ribery and Robben and I think Lewandowski is the type of striker that Vin Dijk and Lovren will enjoy playing against. Don't get me wrong Bayern would start as favourites over two legs on experience alone but to dismiss the RS' chances against them is foolish. City have been by far a more impressive outfit compared to Bayern this season and have just been comprehensively spanked.

Is anything ever going to be done by UEFA about Liverpool fan’s consistently poor behaviour in Europe?

• In 2005 one of their fans dropped a paving slab on a waiter’s head, despite winning the CL
• In 2007 they branded them ‘the worst fans in Europe’ when they were stealing tickets in Athens.
• They were involved in crowd trouble with Sevilla in the 2016 Europa League final
• Tonight they rendered City’s team bus ‘undriveable’

I’d really love to see any other team get away with this. We were getting fined consistently by UEFA this year, and most of it wasn’t even our fault!

Agree 100% GB. It will be interesting to see whose fault it is that Citeh's coach got trashed. Attacking the team coach seems to be a favourite tactic of the scumbags across the park when they play host to the Mancs. It's hardly the first time this has happened.

Clear all the streets around a football ground that's about to hold around 50,000 fans and is smack bang in a built up residential area? Good luck with that. And it's not like Merseyside Police could smuggle the bus in.
