ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

Spurs beat Madrid once and drew in the Bernabeu.

This is a different Madrid side, they started the season terrible, yet here they are, one leg played and they are certs to be in a semi final, and have an unreal player in Ronaldo in unreal form.

Don’t worry too much about Real struggling in the groups, they finished second in the groups last year and ended up smashing Juve in the final.

Spurs beat Madrid, twice, no reason why Liverpool can't do the same

Spurs only beat them once. They were somewhat lucky in both legs, Madrid dominated both and didn't have Bale for either fixture.

If the RS bribe two more sets of officials then anything is possible but in all honesty Madrid should beat them by about six goals on aggregate.

Sad to say but this is also a different RS team. They have not missed courtinho and have improved defensively. The only problem they have is strength in depth which hopefully will be their downfall.

How much worse are City than Madrid though?

Objectively I’d say not much

Apart from a 15 min spell in each game, City were superior. If VAR has been in operation the RS first goal at the pit would have been wiped out and city would have had a penalty for the foul on sterling. In this game city’s disallowed goal would have stood, so in theory instead of going in at half time 3-1 down on aggravate, city would have been 3-2 up. Never have I seen a team have so many seen decisions go for them in my lifetime, not just against us in the derby, but their fortune even extends to Europe. Saying that city should be ashamed how they capitulated in the second half after dominating the first.

Yeah this is going to put the nail in a truly awful season. We’ll finish the season with a fat hoofball crook popcorning us and the RS will win the CL

Pyar Everton that

Aye. The best team on the planet eh? Couldn't beat the worst Everton team in my living memory this year in the league. Won so much silverware over the tears without actually winning it, it's only the blind who can't see it all in their Trophy Room. Maybe next year.

In fairness they are a semi final defeat away from winning as much as we have in the past ten years. Let's see if I need to apply for a temporary job manning the parade rote again before giving up all hope their deal with the Dark Overlord hasn't grown tired of their arrogance. There again....you are probably right.

I'll join next door with the glass of bubbly they have just come round with to celebrate their quarter final win. Told him I forgot it was on and hoped he had enjoyed the game. Was it one of them early kick offs as he was back early from Manchester. Could have sworn I heard him muttering stuff about me being some kind of head as I shut the door.

Neighbours eh? You try and get along but they just find a way don't they.
