What we really need to do as a fan base is ignore what they do - and let this thread die a death, it’s embarassing. I’m putting my hands up and saying I need to stop posting in it too.

We Evertonians ought to get real about the possibility of them winning the thing.
My only worry if that is the correct word, will be the day of the homecoming with the trophy, when every last one of them will be on view.
After that six times, so what? That will be directed at Manure, City, Chelsea but not us.
Their boasting, bragging and so on we should be used to it. I think you get my meaning, but already today, I am guilty of posting and reading more about them than my own team.
They do what they do, we do what we do. Lets worry about our own issues.

Why did UEFA make sure Liverpool beat City? Genuine question - my tin foil hat is at the ready.

CHA-CHING. Liverpool have a much larger fan base than City worldwide. We had the same when they were effectively chosen over us when we qualified. UEFA can pretty much choose which clubs get to which stage.

I think that's reasonably plausible... It's not as if match fixing and corruption doesn't exist in football is it.

A few weeks ago I was practically laughed off here for suggesting that Man City was the ideal draw for Liverpool, especially over 2 legs. That's because I believe that Liverpool are far more effective against teams that come at them, especially those that like to play out of from the back. Though there were one or two refereeing decisions that went against City, I was still not in the slightest surprised that Liverpool came through that tie and reasonably comfortably too.

Unlike most on here, I was also happy to see Roma knock Barcelona out the other night, and would have been happy to see Juventus do the same to Madrid. That's because I also believe Liverpool would have the edge over both Spanish clubs. Whereas both Roma and Juventus would be happy to let Liverpool have the ball. They are both defensively strong and have the players to hurt Liverpool on the counter.

So I'm happy they've drawn Roma.

Bayern to beat Roma in the final for me.

Its Madrids to lose IMO.
