Why did Roma beat Barcelona then?
The ties are now split over 4 countries, meaning an entire other country watching the game. How's that one?
Nice try.
Roma will be delighted with the draw.I'm warming to the idea of Roma. Liverpool will feel the expectation levels of being favourites and I think if they struggle against any opposition it's against well drilled ones who can keep shape but offer a goal threat.
I like the sound of their manager's tactics here https://www.esdfanalysis.com/manager-analysis/tactical-philosophy-eusebio-di-francesco/ especially defensively with little space between defensive and midfield lines (he's carried that flexible 433 shape over into his Roma tenure - although he seems to have thrown that out the window for the Barcelona tie).
The fact that they know Salah and that he's playing his old club is also a worrying one for Liverpool I;d say.
I'd put Liverpool favourites at evens, but I wouldn't put Roma any more than 6/4. This will be tight.
Let's face it mate, Roma fans went into the draw with the same hopes the Kopites had.Roma will be delighted with the draw.
With the benefit of hindsight (easy of course) City was the ideal draw for them in the QFs as they knew they had their number from their meeting in the league. Roma having beaten Barca will now think they can beat anybody, never mind the RS. As you say it will be tight, so I doubt they will be going to Rome with a 3-0 lead to defend. Roma all the way.Let's face it mate, Roma fans went into the draw with the same hopes the Kopites had.
I think it'll be close, very close. If you were going on impressive performances in this competition so far though you'd have to say that Liverpool have played one half of a game in emphatic fashion against a familiar foe they usually get the better of in any case. Roma have put Chelsea and Barcelona to the sword....and I really think Salah will be tied up against defenders who know him like the back of their hands.
IT

Is there anything to talk about regarding us at the moment? I don't support the RSI think the problem is
You support the RS.
now go and walk the dog.
?????????I hear Marina only got KKK to Aintree today after telling him he was going to a funeral. Loves a good funeral does KKK.
.
A two legged semi defeat from winning as much as we have in the last ten years. The wet dream they & the media will have over the next few weeks will have to be endured I’m afraid, Winning without winning.
Anyway off to Swansea tomorrow myself.

Are you really being sniffy about a champions league semi final? I just don’t understand this POV. Yes, the media love in regarding both the RS and Spurs is OTT and quite sickening, but by your logic if we were ever to somehow reach the CL it wouldn’t be a success. I just can’t agree with that. I’d love a European knockout game at Goodison again and would view us getting one as a massive success given our performances in recent seasons.
Also I hate to point this out, but the RS have won a league cup this decade. I’d take one of those next season as well wouldn’t you?
