I’m sorry but there’s countless posts on here about how they have started off the circle of hooliganism. They’ve been at it for ages domestically trying to big up rivalries that don’t even exist with teams. United and Arsenal fans can mingle peacefully despite almost a decade of rivalry yet Liverpool fans won’t mix with Chelsea ones because they played each other a couple of years in a row. Same now with City, obviously United and is, they’ve tried with Spurs of late also.
Now they’re at it in Europe thinking that its perfectly logical to smash up teams buses, get in scraps with their fans in the street etc. but then expect that said fans willl treat them perfectly when they want to enjoy the away game (and by that I mean often trashing that city’s square or getting into fights with locals)
The club and police let it go for far too long (and continue to) and now there’s a situation where trouble is expected before a match has even started. I bet there was no need for Barcelona Atletico or Shakhtar fans to request a police escort in Rome. If something happens LFF will be the first to cry the victim but they should really take a look in-house first at how they could take responsibility more to prevent this cycle of violence.
100% they started a hate rivalry with Chelsea in 2005 when they started to be better than them.
And now it's the same with Man City.
