ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

This really, they are now like a Mafia and no one dare speak out against them.
They are on the verge of causing another disaster similar to Heysel, maybe not this season, but it’s is just around the corner relatively. The closer they get to a trophy the more dangerous they become.
You can almost sense them about to explode into violence, heaven help the opposing supporters who cop for it.

After the two disasters they’ve been through logic would tell you that Anfield should be the safest football ground in the world to visit, but it’s nothing but a cocoon of hate.

It all brews down to pure bitterness. They can't handle the fact that United have overtaken them domestically as well as arsenal, Chelsea and city and spurs now finish above them annually.

Like you say, the further they go in a comp the angrier they get that just one or two teams can stop them. They get so bitter and twisted. It's sad to see because football is just a sport at the end of the day, it's a hobby an entertainment. But for them it's the be all and end all, their life. If they have a partner or kidsthey have to drag them into it.

Their behaviour at the 2007 CL final in Athens should never be forgotten. Snatching tickets out of the hands of fellow reds (don't matter lid, dey were Wools) and others smashing their way into the stadium. Even UEFA publicly branded them the 'worst fans in Europe' following that game and of course you then got phony outrage from the Echo over it and then Liverpool fans blamed UEFA for not giving them enough tickets.

If anything, their behaviour has got worse since then and certainly won't improve when they have morons like Prentice, Barrett etc rushing to their defence even when they act like cocks.

Blimey...I hope Cammell Lairds have been put back in business to build that reinforced stage platform. What will Ruddock be eulogising on I wonder...lighting his own farts?
I knew a lad who insisted he heard that Ruddock had to get extra big shorts because he was a fat bas... big boned.

Sounds plausible to me.

Organisations that can and should call them to account are turning a blind eye to the gathering storm. In that sense they are hand in glove with the hundreds of committed fans at that club who are intent on harming people. There are literally thousands who follow them willing to indulge in the intimidation of opposing players/fans, but there are a hard core of a couple of hundred or so who follow that club who have only one thing in mind: injuring people as severely as they can. And that is the nub of the matter. Because when the Echo or LFC propagate the 'more passionate and committed than any other supporters' line they not only allow into that definition the thousands who create the intimidatory atmosphere, they also give license to the hundreds who target life and limb.

It's an incredible abdication of responsibility from those at that club and the local media who know better than anyone where this has led to in the past. I find it staggering that they offer next to no criticism of the events that have unfolded of late. What's worse is that when an outside organisation DOES take that issue seriously they are rounded on by LFC and the local media.

Something terrible is brewing and when it explodes that club (again) and the Echo will be up to their elbows in it.

UEFA not investigating them till AFTER the final ? Hoping they get there to create carnage . Gives them an excuse to ban English teams again :coffee:

Of course there behaviour got worse, they’re never reprimanded over the behaviour and when a newspaper piped up with article they’re straight down the throat playing the victim.

Reading that story in the link brings back the memories of how bad they were in that final, rushing the gated and causing injuries to fellow fans. Yet the first thing they do is blame Uefa

They are like a spoilt child who have never been subject to discipline, it’s always someone else’s fault. It’s Uefas fault which caused fans to rob their own, it’s Uefas fault that the Man City bus got wrecked

Unfortunately, if uefa don’t take a stand then I can see another tragedy on the horizon. Even if that did happen I’m sure the blame will placed on someone else’s shoulders

And the British media also need to stand up and not be frightened to publish stories, without worrying about the backlash from a satanic cult.

Oh dear, so they take salah off v wba and they drop two points take him off v roma and lose 2-0,he doesn't score for once v stoke and they drop two points.

Where are the hundreds of articles asking whether they're a one man team like they've done for years with spurs and kane. You know, a team that's actually coped with our their star man plenty of times.

Sell salah and they may be mid table next season. The bottom two in the league have both showed how to play against them recently yet donkeys like guardiola scratch their head at it. Darren moore and Paul lambert, just let that sink in.

The papers and other media are too terrified to criticise them in my opinion because they are scared of another S*n-type boycott.

Not that there's been anything wrong with giving that rag a wide berth, by the way.
