But not so good when you consider what they have already spent, presumably with the belief that they were getting somewhere in the region of £80m

£80 million for him was the same sort of thinking that Kenwrong was using when he was trying to claim Rooney would only be sold for some unimaginable sum. £63 million for someone who has very little Champions League pedigree, and who has his disciplinary record, is an awful lot of money. As bluenosepaul says above, if they spend that on someone decent (though thats a big if) then they could be a lot better than last season.

I knew if he ever left that there'd be an instant end to protecting him like he's the sort of persecuted innocent they pretend he is, and that it'd get nasty quickly. Like all the obvious stuff about him that was suppressed and forbidden lest he walk alone, would all come flowing out at once in a giant kopite bile storm.
What's surprised me though, now that it looks like he's no longer a Liverpool player, is how little I now care what an utter tw@ satchel he is.

If its true, that is one of the best deals for a selling club of modern times, as good as the Ibra for Eto'o + cash one was.

No reports out, where has all these cheap prices come from? Liverpool would never sell Suarez for under 60 million. Someone is being a bit silly here I think.
