Instead of going to get a manager who really isn’t that impressive in Silva why can’t we go and get Eddie Howe a young English manager who could build a good side at Everton?

After the way he set up against the RS a few weeks ago and got hammered no thanks. It’s glaringly obvious what is the best way to beat them and him and some other brain dead Managers do the opposite, and that’s just one example of his naivety.

If he was the English Martinez he would Ben finishing 15th-17th like Martinez did with Wigan.

Lots of teams are dodgy defensively these days, even the likes of Liverpool and man city. Attacking football is in vogue at the moment.

I’d prefer Silva or Fonseca but wouldn’t have a problem with Howe

..I listed the next Everton Manager betting in the next Manager thread, where these things are supposed to be. Howe is 33-1 alongside the likes of the bloke at Fulham and a host of others, but we haven’t opened separate threads for them. If we did, it would take over the forum.

That is just maintaining a level of mediocrity.
I have recently looked at all the manager that have been appointed since I started supporting Everton and overwhelmingly they were a very ordinary bunch where only HK delivered what we hoped for and he did it with meagre resources initially.

Just once I would like to appoint a manager that has us punching above our weight.
I want a manager that will make us great and has the pedigree to do that rather than taking a risk and hoping for another HK... that rarely works out well

I'm of the opinion that we need to appoint the right DoF first, if that's Brands then so be it, but allow him to pick his own man to manage the club.
