Eddie Howe should be our number 1 target.

And a safer bet than some kind of Paulo Pick-A-team.

I don't think we have enough of the right playing staff for his system to work in the short term and I just don't think he'd changes his ways (a la Martinez) to get us over a season or so of struggle. I don't know for sure but my gut instinct is that we would see him floundering if this happened.

Now this is the same for any more progressive manager (which is my hope) but Silva adapted his methods with the dross at Hull and Fonseca implemented his tactics based on what he was working with at Shaktar and (I think it was) Braga so I think they could. Silva and Fonseca are the two main runners as far as I can tell, hence the mention.

However, if/when Big Scam goes any new manager will have big questions to answer. Whoever we get will need time and support and get the fans onside. Maybe Howe can do that but I think that Fonseca is the best bet to break into the top 4 and even he's a long shot.

Add in his family struggling to settle in the north west, and I don't see him coming here.

I have been saying Emery from the start, but I know that he may not want to come to us.

But, I think that is the level we should be aiming at.
Eddie Howe is a good manager and has done well at Bournemouth but I don't believe that he is a manager that will have us fighting for a top four place ever.
I look at the top managers in the premiership and one after the other you can see how focused determined and bloody minded they are. I think we need a manager who is a bit of a [Poor language removed] , I think we have been too nice for way too long. I think I want somebody who ha arrogance that is a lunatic on the sideline, who never sees a foul we commit but sees everything the opposition do.

I watched Conte against Liverpool yesterday(enjoyable) and he kicked every ball, he made every tackle, he complained and argued about everything and I think I want somebody with that passion. I want a bad loser.

Need a manager with a bigger set of plumbs. There's some major surgery needed to the Everton changing room and I just don't see Howe being able to deal with higher profile players than he has at Bournmouth. It was one of the things that Koeman was good at.
