….a better record than @Reveeler :coffee:

Lets not forget he was on my list of 4 names lol hopefully the new thread jinx doesnt happen this time

Im not saying not, not to do it i understand the theory mate, im just querying the logic and our practice. I just think we have failed more players of this profile developmentally then not and that has been depleting. We know the theory we are just poor at practice.

Even if i become less binary, let take Onana, Garner and Patterson - each of those three i think we can say its the popular view that they are good signings with potential, but with developmental needs. If you are judging each of the three on last season, you would say all three's contribution has been boom and bust - for a variety of reasons. Good players but ones for the futrue and for now in fits and starts. Thats partly the reason why im cautious i see this lad fitting into that profile and lets be honest, based on our record as i detail in my other posts, the context of this post comparatively with Onana, Garner and Patterson and our needs for goals - right now. There is a significant degree of risk which makes me cautious.

If he comes i dont see him as a hit the ground running type - his record also indicates that, at best hes going to be boom and bust with varying form, whcih you would expect from his profile, just like Patterson, Onana and Garner. Where are the goals coming from, because man do we need them.

As i say i understand the theory of the signings of this profile, im just querying our reocrd, the logic and practice and am cautious about it, in terms of fit.

Performed in France and Spain. High ceiling and effective on transitions -- which Guardiola highlighted as a strength of ours.

He looks to be a 'one man' army in attack for his clubs and on a quick counter we'd have him (rapid) and Danjuma (quick) as well as Doucoure (no slouch) hopefully combining as a triple threat.

If we get him I think his value would double within 2 seasons.

Dont see him netting 15-20 goals this coming season but 10+ as he develops and settles into the team would be excellent.

Nice one mate ;)

To be honest, the bit I’ve seen of him - which is admittedly YouTube clips. It’s his build up play that impresses me and I suspect that’s why we’re going for him, with the added bonus of pace, also he looks very strong and has a strong tendency to come of the right a real red area for us.

The question is bottom line, what can he produce this season, simple truth is we need goals added to our bottom line.

….he was linked some time ago (30th May), @Zatara when did he appear in your list?

He names 50 players every hour, I wouldnt take much notice.

They mostly flop.
Wrong as usual.

I named El Bilal, Wahi, Balogun and David as 4 id go for....Dia (Salernitana) not far off it if we could do a swap with Maupay.

We were linked last summer with El Bilal and Wahi.

As ive posted before, ive only seen the same as everyone else 12months ago when we were linked then highlights (more than the youtube stuff but still only 10-15mins i guess) of him in Spain against Barca and Atletico....only bothered watching as were linked last summer.

He reminds me of what media said Brugge were saying about Amokachi when we signed him. Get the ball to him and hes a one man army albeit raw. Of course hes been in better leagues and has pure pace.

I also posted an article earlier from "Breaking the lines" saying similar and that his value would treble if we got him.
