Transfer Rumour Eliaquim Mangala

Been chatting with City fans. Apparently he played very well against PSG in the Champions League last year. At centre back

So at CB he should be fine. I've not spoken to one City fan who rates him as an LB yet, and they've seen him more than we have, so take that as you will

The point is obvious; there are mixed opinions about Mangala.

Let's see how he turns out.
And if he was a regular MOM City would have let him come to us? I saw a lot of him at Valencia and there were far more plusses than minuses.Should we play him ahead of Williams or Jagielka?....every time.

Central defender scores own goal shocker. Is there one who hasn't? @davids

The Echo; "For a dozen years, Rio Ferdinand's 2002 TransPennine move from Leeds United to Manchester United had remained the biggest deal for a defender in Premier League history but the England international's fee was finally eclipsed by Mangala's arrival at the 'noisy neighbours'.

"It would later transpire that City had shelled out a cool £41.4million for Mangala's services but ever since the player has been battling to live up to his considerable price tag."

City paid a record fee for Mangala. They accept that it was far too much and are now trying to cut their losses.

You could make.the same case for Stones.

BBC pundit Phil Neville on Match of the Day
"Mangala had a poor day. Considering how well he played against Diego Costa last week, I was expecting more from him. For the first goal, he just gets himself in totally the wrong position and the second goal was a certain penalty. He gets himself too tight to Hernandez and it's a clumsy tackle. He's quite ungainly at times when he's on the ball. This taught him a lesson about the Premier League, that there's no easy games."

Don't tell me Phil Neville is xenophobic too!
No, he's just an idiot.

He had a hard few games in his first season this season he has been a lot better. How many people have bad seasons in the first in the premier league. Give him a chance. We pick holes in any singing your not going to get many better CBS on loan.

But he has carried on as he started.

19 Mar 2017 Barcelona 4 Valencia 2

Eliaquim Mangala headed the visitors in front from a corner, before Luis Suarez steered in an equaliser. Messi's penalty made it 2-1 after Manchester City loanee Mangala was sent off for dragging back Suarez, but Munir El Haddadi swept Valencia level.

Sun 31 Dec 2017, 2:00 PM Crystal Palace 0 Manchester City 0

The first real threat came on eight minutes when a mix-up between Eliaquim Mangala and Ederson almost gave Christian Benteke an open goal but Mangala recovered to deflect the Belgian’s shot around the post.

At least give the lad a chance
He could be a good addition or he could be crap.
That’s up to him and we should get fully behind him until he proves his worth
We can’t have 11 Seamus Coleman’s
