I think it must count for something that this is the second time he's been loaned out with (seemingly) no option to buy? If City really didn't rate him wouldn't they just prefer him to be sold?

Don't be so sensible with your judgement. The Everton way is to moan that we are poor defensively...

... and then it's a must that we moan about signing a player to help fix our defensive worries, even before he's played a game.

He's still competing with Keane, Holgate and Funes Mori.

Unless he plays at left back, where he'll be competing with Martina.

He's by far our fastest defender and that's what we needed. If he can cut out the gaffes and be solid in a less expansive team, then he will do well.
