By going back to looking for unfashionable players nobody were looking at, Lescott, Gueye, Cahill, Jags...etc we had a free run on these, cheap, it's the only way we are going to get back to mid table.

Didn't Lampard have to deal with a transfer ban at Cheksra, around the time he helped a lot of youth come through? He has been here before

…worshipped? I rate him, he’s got the ammunition to be a very good defender but he’s not composed enough to be international level. Be interesting how he goes next season but I accept he hasn’t kicked on as I thought.

Can I change my mind on going in for Dennis...reading the stories he is not what we need as a team that are trying to gel together with spirit. Some seriously worrying attitude at times!

I remember Moyes used to scrutinise a player to the max when recruiting and it paid off with excellent signings. Need to adopt that attitude again...although it is also a skill that Moyes perfected (most of the time..no one mention Koldrup!)
