Dude, you don’t get to decide how other enjoy their football. I’m actually not to bothered about Liverpool winning. On the other hand I despise Utd and have done since I was a lad. I love watching them get beat. Similarly, I’ve never had any interest in the England football team and a lot of the time I want them to lose because they are generally massively overhyped and I don’t like the jingoistic element of it. I do support England at Rugby and Cricket though.

Well that is me told, it was a jokey comment in reply to somebody 'willing' every single team, other than Everton, to lose. I mean I know and they know that is not what they do every weekend.

By the way, wanting them to lose is having an interest in them 🤔.

It’s not that weird. I’m a scouser first and foremost. Half my family support Liverpool including my mum. Plenty of older fans would have gone to watch both teams in the 60s/70s. I want us to destroy them on derby day but apart from that I don’t have any animosity.

My comments weren't even close to being ironic but nevermind, that would be for a different thread.

Back on topic, I am personally getting more relaxed about England, used to be a big supporter but nowadays I only watch tournament games and even then don't really get excited by it. Nearly missed the start of the final this year because I was more invested in the Scottish Open.
