That U21 squad would give that first team a right good game.

Burn, Quansah, Walker, Henderson, Ramsdale, Jones, Solanke, Rashford all shocking call ups.

Spence, Wan-Bassaka, Branthwaite, Archie Gray, Hudson-Odoi, Gibbs-White, Elliot Anderson, Adam Wharton, Delap, Nwaneri ALL would be better than those above, even Foden is lucky to be in.

Conner Gallagher too...lads on fire!!

Mandess really, 36 year old, 33 year old Debut, lads getting hadly any mins for clubs, selected above some of the best performing plpayers in the prem ALL season.

Thereā€™s some truly odd picks in this squad.

I canā€™t fathom why Henderson is in there, even while being charitable. Same for a 32 year old getting his first call up in defence in place of a bone fide future England captain in Branthwaite.

Really odd.
Henderson is in there because to win a trophy you have to visualise it and he's got a head like one.

First training session Tuchel will have them lifting him up by his ears.

Masochists and nutters! If following Everton isn't enough why not travel around the world to watch Jordan Henderson, Curtis Jones, Dan Burn, Reece James (for 10 minutes) and Harry Kane score a penalty ;)

Tuchel played a blinder there. He's got weekends in Amsterdam, Milan and Munich lined up for another year, on company expenses. I'm amazed he didn't fancy Madrid as well. I'm sure there must be a rule to pick players from across the park cos those two barely play for them, and are both poor at best.

Some strange inclusions there.

Yes at 32 to be getting your first cap is very odd especially when you are only an average player mind you going back a bit I remember a player getting his first cap at 37 versus Italy!
