FFS what a dullard. No wonder England bollocksed those semi finals and final up.
Imagine having that divvy trying to inspire you. Half the audience's eyes were glazed over.
Geordie lol.Let's face it: he's a footballer who sensed that if he positioned himself as a progressive he'd get a market bump for his increased profile from it...in fact, that's possibly handing him too much credit; his agent probably told him to do it for those purposes.
He's just a Geordie savage who reverted to type when he was among fellow savages.
Here's another link for anyone who wants to follow up:What did people think of Gareth Southgate's lecture? I liked it. First he brought some wokeness back to the England football set-up, now he's going to do the same to the whole country. He's on a mission to counteract the Brexit mentality, Boris Johnson, Nigel Farage, Andrew Tate and what have you. I'm all for it.

If we're not spending...and it looks like that's the case - these players need motivating and I dont see a figure like Moyes being inspirational...in fact he's told those players they are not quality players and we need quality in.
I just think a manager like Southgate could inspire. He's got credibility as an ex-England manager...one of the better ones....and he'd turn a few matches our way.
I could see players wanting to get out on the pitch for him.
Southgate: did I misinterpret what that big girl's blouse was saying in that talk or did he...
What a progressive.
- demonize all young lads as out of control vermin
- promote militarism
- underline his preference for the nuclear family unit
- demand a curtailment of social media
His biggest message, of course, was to wrap up all his failings and failures as a player and manager and repackage them - and himself - as a 'success'...simply because he experienced them.
He's like the anti-Brian Clough.
I'd be looking to bring in Southgate if Moyes doesn't get a grip of this in the next few games - if he'd come.
As a last throw of the dice to keep us in this league he makes sense.
He'd have the respect of players and we'd get that bounce we need to get over the line.
He should have been brought in before Moyes.
I can only think he must have been approached and rejected the move.
Cash wise I'd make him an offer he couldn't refuse and for whatever length of contract he wanted.
My only desire is to see Everton safe.
Moyes wont do it and these players need a boost. Southgate would hand us it. Illd hand these players self belief. And boy do they need it.
Yeah, he was a disaster for England.
FFS.
We'd be lucky to have him right now.
How many years ago was he at Boro? A team he won a trophy with btw.
We're looking to stay in this PL and a boost to that end would be to hire a manager who has respect and has energy.
I dont care what manager we bring in, btw. I just know that if we get beat by Spurs there'll be a lot more people than me looking to punt him back where he belongs into retirement and get a manager in who can inspire us to some victories.
The Spurs game - if that ends in defeat panic will set in. I think these owners should be ahead of the game on that. Planning for Moyes instant successor.
Yes, and seeing his speech has cured me of that.

Yes.So he’s back to being a failure of a manager again now?
