wasn't much time was it? was hoping they would have enforced the follow on to be honest - think it would have helped our chances. there's nothing in this pitch - we gave away some stupid wickets straight away. runs aren't going to be an option in the second innings which may make it easier. try and smash lyon out of the attack may be an idea so that he can't tie up one end whilst the seamers rotate. he seems easier to play if you show him no respect. think nearly all his wickets have been to defensive shots.

On the basis of poor field placings. I don't blame Cook alone for this as the two senior bowlers should know better, as I said earlier wide of off to a 7-2 field. The morning should be all about plugging the singles and keeping Oz out there as long as possible. It's going to be a tepid watch for today abs tomorrow. Suppose it could be nerve wrecking brilliance if England get close to playing for a draw. I bet if we were on this position we would bar on past 500 lead because there's so much time left we would think if they bat out 6 sessions they could win.

Aussies have to be a tad wary because of that tbh, I mean if you're setting 400 to win, this is the kind of pitch it'd be doable on. We wouldn't go for it anyway I doubt. Chuffed to get out of this a draw, but our top order will fail again I feel.

I like most sports, horsey sports don't really appeal but apart for them I'm a fan. I do struggle with the fact that in cricket one side can be soundly beaten and the result is a draw. I know we are not American and a draw can be a very good result, but surely not when one side scores more than the other.
