Probably more so to do with all the talk about the Aussies blowing us away and limiting us to scores you'd see and respect in a game of T20.

But yeah, We probably struggle if Root isn't dropped. But then again, that's Test Cricket I suppose.

I think he's confusing England with us in the 80s. We all got pumped by the Windies but we did hurt you with the very start of the golden generation. Botham had a couple of ok games at some point but that was about it....
