England v Australia - THE ASHES

Fair enough, if you're right. I didn't notice.

I don't want to sound too hateful about the guy regarding that situation, I mean it was terrible for cricket, it just felt like it got turned into more about how Clarke was grieving as opposed to the fact Hughes was dead. Media played a part for sure. Probably a little bit of a low blow from me, but I can't stand him.

I don't like to see a man kicked when he is down and Clarke was a fantastic batsman so I also have to take that into account. But his comment during the last Ashes series in Oz about wanting to see Jimmy Anderson's arm broken was unforgiveable.

Seriously? If he said that I hope he finds a wasps' nest in his box. After he's put it on.

5th test starting tomorrow.

England unchanged as Anderson has not yet recovered from his injury. Hazelwood is out for Australia so they will have at least one change. It's the last test match for Clarke and Rogers.

The pitch is green appears to be set up for a result again. Apparently the Australian camp are angered about the pitches being set up to suit the home team. Isn't that the prerogative of the home nation ? Surely the same happens in Australia and everywhere else. This one will likely be over in 2/3 days if the rest of the series is anything to go by.

Some of the batsmen of today, like Ian Bell, don't know how lucky they are to be batting in a different age to the great bowlers referred to in this series.
I bet Usain Bolt is glad that he is competing in an age when greats like Valeriy Borzov, Alan Wells, Carl Lewis and Linford Christie aren't around.

you are actually kidding me? please tell me that's a joke. have they only just realised that this is what home teams do?

in the same way johnson is only a threat on fast bouncy wickets, so they produce fast, bouncy wickets at home?

They try to be fair to the opposition but Oz is very hot and their pitches get baked. Give them a break.

Alas not TJ. From BBC - Australian website news.com.au pulled no punches in its assessment of The Oval pitch:
