well done lads. i would say fantastic win, but the opposition were utterly woeful. england bowled much better than them, had much more balls that beat the bat and great to see them rap it up emphatically. wonderful turn around.

next series will be a totally different story and a totally different aussie team.

hope clarke enjoys his retirement.

yeah i said right through the NZ series the ashes wouldn't live up to it. i still remember the first test kicking off - there's been so little cricket played for a 5 test series.
 
Looking ahead, the next tour is against Pakistan, away in the UAE.

We simply have to use the Oval Test to play a specialist spinner in preparation for this.

The aussies are utterly clueless in our conditions. Didnt realise just how bad they were tho. Its definatly woke them up to it and they have got some thinking to do

Clarke totally uninspiring as a captain. Smith doesnt offer mych more I dont think either. Wouldnt class him as an out and out leader and great player. He played some funny shots considering his rating.

Well done to cookie and the England team.

i can't see these teams making a game last long enough for a draw.
 
I was tempted to jump on the 20/20 bandwagon at one stage but the last two Test Series have shown there's still nothing like the drama of Test cricket. Just a shame every Test can't be played under our conditions...
