England vs. Bulgaria

Oh yeah, was talking to this lad about Gazza and how the British media like to make heroes and villains of the same people at the same time. Wankstains, all of them.

50% of the problem mate, the other 50% is expecting to win a world cup in Jan - zee Germans pulled of the best Keyser Söze in football at the last world cup - the whole world thought they would be massively gash. Thats what England need to do play without expectation, none of the players look like they want to play for England - they just look to afraid not to.

Well what can anyone do about it? ban the newspapers?

England were superb tonight. Bulgaria are no mugs and with a inexperienced backline they were quality. Glen Johnson lacks the class for international level to be honest, but there is nobody else. Other than that it was a great performance.

To those who hate England, you can go **** yourself! 4-0 !!!!!!!

It's On!

Id start with translating this to:

England showed some signs of recovery from what was the debalce of the World Cup, although Bulgaria are rubbish and even ireland finshised five points ahead of them in the last qualifying tournament, it looks like we may with a massive improvement have the makings of a good side. Glen Johnson has the potential to be a good player, with the right coaching and development. Im catiously optimistic.

I think we just may make the quaters in the Euro with this side!

4-0 is 4-0 mate. Portugal drew 4-4 with Cyprus.

THEY'LL WIN IT THIS TIME.

THEY'LL WIN IT THIS TIME.

I've wasted Twenty bleeding quid betting on Everton winning the league this year and I'm still half convinced we'll pull it off. You're damn right I go into every major tournament thinking England have a chance.

Hell, I'm so blindly optimistic that I still read long threads on here rather than just assuinig it'll all be fat jokes and accusations of racism by page 3.

In short if you've got a bridge in brooklyn you need to sell cheep, I'm your man.

Forty eight years of hurt, never stopped me dreaming.

Exactly.

Most England fans, I know are basically like that. We know we're [Poor language removed] really but we can't help but hope anyway. It's like the reverse of being an Evertonian, where we secretly think we're quite good but we're convinced we'll **** it up anyway.

I honestly think if Everton were 10 points clear at the top of the league with four games to go. I'd be thinking 'oh god, how are we going to mess this up now'. Where as England could be 8-0 down with ten minutes left and I'd still half manage to convince myself that we had a chance.

It's a mental illness really.

Difference is, you're sound for an England fan.

Supporting Scotland will be much easier though, its like supporting Everton.

To be fair though Bulgaria are a good side - could there be more Ov's?

But apart from Glen Johnson and Theo Walcott - England played very well and looked dangerous. Jermaine Defoe is probably the closest player England have to a prolific striker - so to see him score 3 is excellent.

It's all -Ov and -Ev with us, really.

Inexperienced? Seriously?
Manolev - 24 years old, excellent RB; regular starter at PSV; amazing player.
Stoyanov - 32 years old, good CB, great experience, plays somewhere in Japan or something now tho.
Ivanov - 22 years old, absolute garbage of a player, it does my head in how he's a starter.
Milanov - 26 years old, was the captain of Levski in his last year, moved somewhere in Romania now. Played LB, tho originally a RB.

We were, much like Everton, lacking quality upfront, which is weird, considering our best players are there. Bojinov played nothing.

So that translates to : you just beat a very garbage side 4:0 and are amazingly proud of it. It was 4 points anyway and we were with the previous coach who was utter [Poor language removed]. When Stoilov came in we played better, even though we were smashed by a Cyprus side 4-1, thanks to Ivan Ivanov, again, who made about 27 individual mistakes giving them the ball near the box. By the way we dominated both matches with them, if i'm not mistaken, even tho we finished 1:1 in both.
