England vs. USA ... will be one of the best of the tournament

With Davies being left off the 30 man roster, the pace up front has me worried. I am curious to see how Buddle and Gomez fit paired with Altidore up front or together. I think Gooch will be effective. I am worried about the midfield cohesion, but maybe it can be sorted out. The World Cup is my saving grace for the summer. I am obviously a Yank, so USA is my number one, followed by the Three Lions, Ivory Coast and the Super Eagles.

What about Germany?

Just cause I am moving to Germany doesn't mean I rate their National Squad. I think they can be dangerous, but they are an older squad. I am excited that FCK is back in the top flight of the Bundesliga next year. It means I will get to see Bayern in person next year. I am so damn lucky to be able to have the opportunity to see some quality football for the next 4 + years.

I'm going out on a limb here but...

USA 1- England 1
USA 2 England 2
USA 3 England 3
USA 4 England 4
USA 1 England 0
USA 2 England 0
USA 3 England 0
USA 4- England 0
USA 2 - England 1
USA 3 - England 2
USA 4 - England 3
USA 3 England 1
USA 4 England 1
USA 4 England 2
USA 0 England 0
England 1 USA 0
England 2 USA 0
England 3 USA 0
England 4 USA 0
England 2 USA 1
England 3 USA 1
England 4 USA 1
England 3 USA 2
England 4 USA 2
England 4 USA 3

My predictions for the June 12th game. In no particular order.

Hey, I think you nailed it.

not a chance. but i do hope that is what the English players think

(2002 Portugal match comes to mind) :)

Portugal took us lightly and didn't bother to defend McBride and Donovan. They arrogantly thought that if we scored 3 they could easily get 5. England won't take us lightly. I'll do cartwheels if we get a draw.

I wonder if England will get just the 5 or go all out for 6 goals against the U.S?
I do love to wind up Americans. Like i care what the score is ffs.

This is definitely the game I'm looking most forward to in the World Cup. Having been born in England and having my dad, I've always wanted England to win... but I've lived the vast majority of my life in California and see the US as my country and I've always supported the national side.

So it's going to be pretty cool.

Key players on the pitch:

- Wayne Rooney (if fully healed and back in form, he will absolute get one against the US backline)
- Stephen Gerrard (what can I say here, the man hardly ever plays a poor game)
- Frank Lampard (I hate him, but this guy always seems to be in the right place at the right time)
- Landon Donovan (If he shows up, expect him to cause problems on the wing and counter... IF he shows up)
- Tim Howard (Not an easy keeper to beat and often keeps the USA in games they shouldn't be in)
- Clint Dempsey (If he leaves his "Donovan Complex" at the door, he will be huge... most creative player in the U.S. squad).

Not being biased or anything, he hardly ever plays a good game for England
