It isn’t a condition though. The post I replied to in the first instance, was suggesting that anyone who doesn’t is partly responsible for the deaths that will be shown on screen before the game.

When in reality, anyone who is at a high vulnerable category in relation to covid should probably not attend a football match at full capacity, where there will be people that will not be wearing masks and will not have had both vaccinations.

Those are the people who should stay home, the ones who dont care about anyone but themselves and who are partly the reason so many people have lost there lives.

Your right, i agree but its a sad situation when good Evertonians have to miss out because of the selfish actions of a few and poor decision making from the club and FA

So if we're just a fringe of conspiracy theory nuts and the overwhelming majority of the population is compliant with mask wearing and has continued with mask wearing since restrictions eased, how are infections still rising?

Surely it's not all down to those unmasked wingnuts? Or could there possibly be a question mark against the effectiveness of mask wearing?

The wording is 'expected and recommended', which in legal-jargon is the club believe you should wear one but ultimately it's legally unenforceable.

The only caveat of this is that as part of their rules of entry the club could make it a requirement, but that would be an absolute minefield in many senses.

While fans may be advised/asked to put a mask on, I'd be very surprised if there's any form of enforcement to actually wear one.

Personally, I'll probably wear one when travelling through the concourse and in the bogs, but at my seat or when having a pint - nah.

I'm sure the club are only recommending you wear a mask when like you say Phil, on the concourse or going to the bogs because it's an enclosed space, when you are in you're seat you don't have to wear one.
