I now assume that any signing we make will be crap. One occasionally turns out to be good, or at least decent, and it’s a pleasant surprise.

When was the last pl player we bought? We have been buying relatively unknown players at this level. Apart from ndiaye, rest have been poor signings so far. Tark on a free was a superb signing also.
Harrison is the only one we can say has pl experience with Leeds and on high wages..had a decent season last season but very poor this season.

Also reckon we will get him for less than the 24m Lyon payed last summer because of their financial issues.

Last PL player we bought was Maupay right? What PL right winger would you buy who would realistically join us? Antony? Recruitment was poor under Moshiri 90% of the time, that was when we bought from the pl and abroad. Under a manager with the tactical awareness of a potato it's hard for most players to shine unless they're undeniably talented like Ndiaye or Branthwaite. We’re trying to move away from this high-contract approach we’ve followed in the past 9 years which ultimately left us in a total mess.

Harrison was overall poor last season, had a handful of good games, the derby especially, but overall he was dreadful, somehow he's been even worse this season.

I would go with almiron for the short term which I am sure would be a very cheap deal and improve our youth squad with talents that have yet to join any big team.
