Maybe you just can't understand it. I don't mean to be condescending saying that, it's just that we're talking about a sport that dominates this country and one we have been rubbish at on the international stage for over half a century. The US main sports of American Football and Baseball aren't really global sports and you don't have 'national' teams as such, so you don't get the same thing.

For the fans to just be absolutely delighted at reaching a final is thoroughly understandable.

I do get that though. I mean as an Evertonian I totally get over the top celebrating things like finally beating United at their place a few years ago. Like it was kinda cringey but I didn't care.

I guess the difference for me is England are one of the favorites and were certainly favorites tonight. Job done. Happy times and onward and upward. I get it being a big deal to finally break through a glass ceiling as well though.

Anyway I am going to leave it. Enjoy the win.
 
Honestly, felt like Denmark lost the game by making all their subs too early. Could be wrong but I don't they had much of chances after that triple (?) sub in the 2nd half. Have to say Southgate got all his spot on.
 

Fascinating matchup on Sunday. Italy have to decide whether it is worth giving Immobile another shot after two frankly horrid showings in a row. For England I think they've seriously got to consider Captain Fantastic coming in for Rice because Italy will see how Denmark have pressured him and try to do it too. I think it is incredibly even and could come down to which keeper makes a stop or attacker has a moment of excellence. I'm excited.
