Euro2020 Knock Out Rounds

I never took to him either but the way he conducted himself at Chelsea and the aftermath turned me to liking him more. He always seems to come across as a decent guy, I vaguely remember a few stories of when he was young and at Liverpool but there is a maturity to him now.

I find the hate of Sterling to be odd. If you don't like how he plays, think he holds the ball a bit too long, erratic finishing, makes bad decisions frequently in terms of passing vs shooting or who he decides to play the ball too. I'm just pointing our things I see on here that I think are fair criticisms, I don't necessarily agree with them. But we all see the game differently and are entitled to our own opinions.

But I've seen enough on here and other places on the internet. As it always is, some of this crap is race. If you feel like jumping at that I would only question why someone would feel so sensitive to that. I haven't said any names and I'm agreeing with the wandyr79.

The guy has 3 goals and an assist in 6 games. It's utter bs all the stuff I'm constantly seeing about him. If you've got a 'personal' problem with him or you've 'never taken a liking' to him keep that crap to yourself. That's codewords and I know he was an RS but he's hardly an ambassador or tied to the club.

I've watched the junk for a month. A lot of vague stuff being lobbed towards him and I've got enough black friends I seen get that treatment to know where it's coming from.

I went into this wanting to be swept up by the England team and actually get behind them. I like the team, don't mind Southgate for the most part. But when I watch them I feel absolutely nothing, no stress or joy. Its like subconsciously my brain won't allow it.

I have nothing in common with the people who go to watch England and that coupled with how it's being "reported" by the media and used by politicians it just puts me off even more.

Hope Italy dust them.

No, I wouldn't.

How could I argue that it wasn't a penalty no way, no how as I have with an incident with Sterling who - with no contact on him - threw himself to the ground?

You're not comparing like with like there.
I never even mentioned the Sterling penalty.

I'm saying it's taken until the 50th match to award a free kick to the attacking side for holding at set pieces, even though it's gone on all tournament.

If that had been awarded to England you very much would have brought it up had we scored.

The penalty was extremely soft and I'd have been spitting my dummy out if it had gone against us. You, on the other hand, would have been calling it a slam dunk.

Pretty pathetic, hearing uber-woke knobs who know nothing about football saying they'll be supporting Italy because of the behaviour of the usual maggots among England's following.

Italian fans are so anti-racist and treat black players so well, after all. No fascist element in their support or football culture, is there?

Cheering on Ukraine and Italy in the name of anti-racism. Great isn’t it.

Sure, I mean we definitely didn't all chip in for an anti racism banner when we signed a young Italian did we?

Hypocrites, edgy hypocrites the lot of them, mate.

Don't think its race pal

I'm not a fan of his cos he's was utter sh*te in most of the England games and tournament he's played in up to now. Many questioned why he previously started so many games with only 2 goals in 40+ appearances and also had a massive attitude on him.

He's doing well now so perhaps peoples attitudes will change to him as a player. Somethings are just hard to change once opinions are formed. Pep didn't rate him last season either so is he racist for not playing him too?
