….sometimes teams are scared to win. It was all so comfortable for England, they carried threat and looked solid. The longer it’s gone, they’ve retreated, they’ve shown signs of wanting to waste time.

England’s best chance is to go for a 2nd rather than hang on to what they’ve got. I think they can score again, some terrific performances.

And Italy just lost it for the first 15 mins. I doubt they will be that bad again in the second half.

Have England only had 1 shot?

Been a very cagey first half. Italy will have to force it 2nd half so should open up a little.

Props to England if they hold out but its awful football. Like watching Ireland under Trappatoni.

I actually think it's smart.

Kill the game and go for the second later with Grealish. It's what worked so far, and it was obviously the best plan for coping with Italy.

Your problem is that you have to win outright because of their GK advantage.

England seem like they’re missing a player in attack can’t string passes together.

italy also can’t get thru in attack but I think they’re happier playing in England’s half.

But this is the game England wanted, with 3 at the back and a goal up. I think they’ll keep it as it is.

No one got through though according to the bosses at Wembley.
