Most in Pot 2 look ordinary to me. Am I being overconfident in not caring about our pot?

I don't think so. Not too much anyway. There's definitely some teams to avoid in Pot 1, a few in Pot 2 as well (Steaua, Besiktas and the 2 Germans). Never go in expecting to win any game, but go in knowing that you can :)

It's all about how the squad can cope with the games though.

Also we're away on the Sunday after 5 out of the 6 group matches I think. That sucks.

These are the challenges we need to overcome to be a European regular. No point complaining.

It's 4 of the 6 mate, and 2 of those 4 are north west games involving very little travel - Man Utd away and Burnley away.

The only 2 aways which have lengthy travel after Europa games are Sunderland away on November 9th and Spurs away on November 30th.

The Europa League line up looms a lot harder than it was the last time we were in it.

I thought the group stage would have been a breeze but a group of death isn't beyond the bounds of possibility.

It literally is the 'luck of the draw' - in the CL draw, Liverpool were in pot 3 but got a far easier group than Man City who were in pot 2.

Thanks mate, I looked a week or so ago and not in this detail, was more worried than I needed, ta. Old Trafford will be a big one obviously, and WHL, but then again, we're Everton.
I hate going Sunderland too, been a few times and always tell myself never again. Tim Cahill though.

It looks like Martinez knows exactly what he's doing though, in terms of the transfer window and general brown-shoesiness -so I'm sure he'll get the squad through the season.

Man City...you have to feel sorry for them in CL draws. You're bang on tho there mate - we could get dream travel or dream matches, or anyone. Least in CL draw there were only 8 in a pot not 12. It could be anything.

Shame we can't get Villarreal, Fiorentina, Feyenoord and then go on a European Tour or Revenge

Panathinaikos would be the ultimate revenge mission :)

(There's one for the teenagers)

Imagine we had beaten them in the quarter final of 1970 and then won the semi.

The Holy Trinity versus Cruyff and Neeskens.....that sure would have been a thang.

Sorry, but how did Spurs qualify for Europe again?

edit: I guess by finishing sixth, but it seems odd that they are in a higher pot than us.
