It's not that I want a piss up in Milan or Glasgow, my thinking was that a lot of teams from the premier league dont take this competition seriously when they are drawn against less well known opposition and end up going out.

I would rather we draw the bigger teams and play our strongest side, so we actually go further in the competition. I think our strongest team can beat Celtic's strongest team and I think we can go toe to toe with Inter Milan as well.

The belgium side (Lokerern) was only because when I looked at pot 4 that trip was the shortest one for the team and the fans

Mate if we come up against either celtic or inter and dont come a away with all 3 points it will be disapointing. They are both poor teams at current state. Inter is like an even shitter manchester united.

The allocations are strange for some teams. I think Inter only give about 4-5,000 and put away fans right up in the top tier. I'm sure they did that to Spurs. It's annoying because when English sides used to go there, they used to put them in the Lower Tier. Search for Newcastle away at the San Siro. Must have had 10,000+.

Might depend on the demand from our fans too. If the club know that about 10,000 are wanting to go, Inter might do something for us, if we do draw them.

I think Lille would be a good allocation but could be wrong. We would have thousands over there though with it being close.

Spurs got 5,000 the other year:

Fingers crossed we get 10,000. If not the home end will be calling!

Celtic are a very poor side, very bad.

I'd love them because it would be a high profile game as well.
Celtic would be awesome, not a great team atm, huge stadium, easy flight from Dublin and huge potential coverage with the good relationship between the clubs
Make it so :)

Want the easiest group possible. So i'd rather avoid the likes of celtic and inter from the groups.

Sure some people just want a piss up more than their team going far.
Milan is not a good piss up destination for a start.

Have you ever thought that maybe people want to see Everton in iconic world stadiums against famous teams ? Even Leeds and Newcastle have had a taste of the San siro in the not so distant past.

I'd also like to see that, but later on in the competition i'd actually like us to have the best chance of going through first before going to play at the stadiums like that.

As long as we win the competition i don't care about it being the san siro or some crappy stadium, as long as we get results.

We'd beat most of the teams in the higher pots, they'd be more bothered about playing us than we would them lets be honest.

PSV, Celtic and Lokeren would be sound. Not too hard and good away trips for the fans!

18/9 (LFC home Tuesday)
2/10 (LFC away Wednesday)
23/10 (LFC home to Real Madrid Wednesday) - that suggests to me we'll be away on Matchday 3 (as we play after Liverpool's Wednesday fixture and there's no way on this earth that they will force LFC to play Real Madrid at 5.30 pm on a Wednesday).
6/11 (LFC away Tuesday)
27/11 (LFC away Wednesday)
11/12 (LFC home Tuesday)

Plus of course the logistic problems of both sets of fans travelling, potentially to the same country even, at the same time).

Given that the allocations produce these fixtures:

18 September 2v3, 4v1
2 October 1v2, 3v4
23 October 3v1, 2v4
6 November 1v3, 4v2
27 November 3v2, 1v4
11 December 2v1, 4v3

I am quite confident we will be allocated 1. The reasoning is that LFC are away on the 3 nights Team 1 are home. So I predict we will be home in matches 2, 4 and 5. If the club has any brains they will actually ask for "1" to avoid all these problems.

you mention Celtic. Do you not think we are capable of beating them home and away ? They are awful even compared to 2 years ago. Inter are beatable but it won't be easy. Just enjoy it

Who do you want?

One from pot 1, 2 and 4.

Don't know if we can get Spurs. Probably not.
