Are all EL fixtures on a Thursday? Last time we were in it we played some on Wednesdays (ie when there were no CL games being played)

Every Europa home game i have attended (ie, all of them) have been on a Thursday. Unless i have drunkenly lost a Wed somewhere along the line.

We had the problem though with our cross city rivals, when we were both drawn at home on the same day, so we had to play on a Tuesday night at 5.55pm wasn't it? So we did not clash with CL, or cause mayhem in the City, i also believe that this could affect numerous teams in the comp again.

For example if Arsenal drop into the Europa League, and you're both drawn at home on same night, they'll get priority as they finished higher, so you'd be bumped to like a 5pm Kick off at Home.

Good point. It would be worth it though to see Woolwich in the Europa!
 
Guessing for a decent air fee its best to avoid looking at flights from Liverpool and Manchester? Really Hope we get Inter, would love a few days in Milan.
 
I wouldn't mind somewhere that you could do maybe do a champions league fixture the night before . Like fly to Rome do a Roma match then upto inter for our game the next day . Or Ajax CL game then Rotterdam for us v feyenoord etc

Think that was before they changed the group setup to home and away. Im sure we played one of our group games on a Wednesday the year we played Fiorentina, because we only used to play 4 games. Im sure we played Alkmaar the same week as League Cup quarter final as well, which is why we played West Ham a week before everyone else. Since the groups changed to the same setup as the CL though, we always play on the same week and always on a Thursday, barring any special circumstances like already highlighted.
