I think people are getting confused with the question. It’s not the worst player we have signed, it’s our worst signing. Sure Klaassen was rubbish, but he never played, so he never did that much damage. We didn’t buy other players and form a team around Klaassen and persist with playing him which hampered our performances for 3 years, we just got rid of him.

Siggurdson. Hands down worst signing. It’s not even close.

I think Bolasie averaged two goals a season in his premiership career. The fact that he isn't our worst value for money signing says a lot about our transfer policy in the 2010s.
Yep, just feel like he could have been a handy player nonetheless and worked well with Lukaku who was more than lethal for us, agree with the second point though

Gone for Niasse. 13m on a fella who had about the same ball control skills of 6 year old kid.

Horrific scouting.
Niasse was a terrible signing with awful ball control but he knew how to put the ball in the back of the net. Did his job a lot better than our 45m creative midfielder who doesn’t create or offer anything in midfield and doesn’t even score goals now either.

I give Gylfi the slug a pass over Niasse mate for the 45 yard Europa League goal he scored a few years back.

For me, Niasse isn't even a footballer nevermind one that should have played for Everton.

No surprise he hasn't got a club. I'm sure he'll get one soon when someone offers him £500 a week to take it back up part time.

Lol Stan. Greaves was the greatest English striker I've ever seen; Oumar was.....Oumar. :)
Michael my friend, Greaves was indeed the greatest English striker I've seen - with Rooney and Lineker not far behind.
I don't even know if the stats exist, but I think he scored more goals in the 6 yard box than anyone else. No way would he ever make a run of 50 yards or more to score a goal. He had such a hunger for goals that he took as many penalties as he could on the grounds that he had to work hard for his goals so that being given a one on one chance with the keeper from the penalty spot was not a chance he was going to pass up.
He still never scored a goal like Oumar did against the RS.

Brilliant my friend, and you were indeed right about Roo & Lineker. I have always wanted to ask you ; if you were related to the great Stan Lee Matt Hughes?

I'm sure you're right, Stan, about the number of 6 yard box goals Jimmy scored and it's great to talk to another Jimmy admirer on here. However, he did score a few goals from outside the box, sometimes using his pace to streak through defences.

Any excuse is good enough to watch him in action, though, and this discussion may allow the opportunity for some the young 'uns to see him for perhaps the first time.

My comparison with Oumar was, of course, ever so slightly tongue in cheek but the goal around the 2 minute mark is a little reminiscent of Oumar's for Hull.

Agree with you about Rooney and Lineker being the next best.

There is a glaring omission from that list, a Mr Morgan Schneiderlin.
I voted Gylfi, but I actually change my mind and would go for Schneiderfraud.
Most gutless, unathletic, disinterested waster we have had on our books.
Now stinking the gaff out at Nice btw.
Yep got Viera sacked already. Perhaps they could hire Schneiderlin's big friend aka "Big Watch". Nice owned by a english man is in for a disaster season.
