Definitely not. Kepa will own that title for many years to come.

It depends on how you judge it. For just raw money, Kepa is a contender. But Chelsea have now replaced him and are rich enough to cope.

But Rodwell was £11m for Sunderland, did nothing, and milked them for £70k a week for four years, most of them in the Championship when they couldn't afford him, and cost them money all the way into League One. He actively stopped them improving as a club.

It's the same with Sigurdsson. We bet the house on him and he's been pure tripe for three and a half seasons, with no hope of a financial return and commanding such a huge fee that we couldn't replace him because we needed to spend money on other areas.

Kroldrup for me. Was excited we had a strong ball playing centre back when we needed it up he simply didn't live up to any expectations.

We got some money back from Kroldrup.

We're stuck with Sigurdsson forever it seems

We got quite a lot of money back on Kroldrup and his long term negative impact for us was non-existent as he was here for a month.

Sigurdsson has harmed us for years.

Don't disagree about Siggy's malign influence at all. I'm just laughing because he's soooo bad he's managed to be less use than a desperately needed centre half reinforcement who was utter utter plop. Quite the achievement.

Went on to be in the Serie A Team of the Year when he went back to Fiorentina lol

Was mad though, he couldn't head the ball here. It was like playing Leon Osman at centre-back.

Yeah, true that. Probably being harsh calling him plop, because he just wasn't trusted to play. Whereas Siggy must work some voodoo magic in training on all his managers every day.

How can anyone be a professional footballer and not be able to head the ball properly? I understand that in Italy it might not be as common but it's still a pretty fundamental skill.
Strange saga all round that one.

Didn't zigic do similar at birmingham too?
