Another fan who is gutted we didn’t get stuffed just to slag everyone off.
Loads of these on the forum these days.
I don’t believe for one moment that any Evertonian would want to see the team lose. I am no fan of Sean Dyche and I would like to see us with a forward looking coach but I would never wish defeat on the team just to be able to say how poor he is. At the moment points on the board are important and, in all fairness, Sean Dyche is picking up points where I didn’t fancy our chances and he deserves credit for that.

Just got back from the game. We held our own for 90 mins, probably had the better chances. A bit of a crap game to watch, referee and his officials were absolutely horrendous. Thought the atmosphere was very flat. A good point won.
In the second half Imthought we had a few chances and the Gladys Street end tried to get some atmosphere going but that petered out and in those last few minutes Inthink most of us were holding our breath and waiting for the very poor referee to blow the final whistle and we were grateful for another well earned point which honestly could have been three.

The refereeing today was dire, didn't want to book any Chelsea players but was so quick to book ours, 50/50s only wentone way..the linesman by us was garbage too, crying to get Pickford a yellow card...they want respect but they don't deserve it due to how poor they are
Slightest touch and they were over.

prima facie a good result.
NB: I did not watch the game so cannot comment on any of its nuances that may affect/modify that assessment. Regardless, its going to be a season wrought with fraught... and nervous backward glances toward the five teams presently behind us.

the defence tightening up is pleasing, certainly against the better sides, if we looked like scoring against the others we'd have nothing to worry about. Hopefully chermitti and Borja will add a little bit of danger at the right end
