Upon further viewing I now think DCL should have had a penalty... Burn just lunges in and takes him out mid shot.
Well, if you're going to give Harry Kane a penalty against the Dutch, we should have had one.

For what it's worth, I would never have given Kane that penalty, so I won't be a hypocrite. But galling that these decisions go for the teams you'd rather not give them to, and against those you would...

0-0 is a decent result for this weakened rabble of a side. Without Branthwaite, the clean sheet is a huge bonus. Fair play to Pickford. Delighted to see him burnishing his reputation for key penalty saves and Gordon maintaining the age-old tradition of England internationals providing hilarity from the spot.

The treatment of Gordon is such a "small club" mentality.

If Everton weren't such a financial mess, he would still be here!

Yeah maybe, but I still stand by it would have been a stupid decision to try and keep him. I've never seen a player down tools like Gordon did when he had his head turned. He was a terrible player in that last 6 months for us. He's got a terrible attitude.

Does seem to have got better since leaving and is looking to be a better player than I expected him to end up, but he still lacks that cutting edge that makes a top player.

Like it's we won the league? I'm all for a penalty celebration. But the football we played didn't really warrant the fireworks did it.. we got lucky should have been at least two down in the 1st half. Frustrating to say the least...
Stop listening to the media… if you can’t celebrate a penalty save then the game has gone.

Shouldn’t have been 2 down… besides the penalty they didn’t create anything of note.

Yes frustrating, but a point is a point.

If the fans of a long-suffering club cannot lustily celebrate a critical penalty save by its best and only international-class player against a former player who couldn't wait to leave and who is being linked with our local rivals, well, we might as well give up. Because we don't win trophies as it is, so what else have we got.

Secondly, would we have celerated a goal as lustily? Of course we would. And would we have been accused of celebrating that "like we have won the league? No, we wouldn't.

That save was no different than a goal for us - well, a goal for us scored into his own net by Anthony Gordon.

We'll take it. And, oh, how we'll enjoy it.
