Like it's we won the league? I'm all for a penalty celebration. But the football we played didn't really warrant the fireworks did it.. we got lucky should have been at least two down in the 1st half. Frustrating to say the least...
I don’t think we support the same club. I want that ground like a bear pit for every tackle nevermind a penalty save from a goading Kopite rat.

Thought their three in midfield ran all over us today, too much energy and we struggled.

Hate to think what it could have been with Iroegbhunam in for example, hard enough work for the two in there without carrying anyone off the ball.

Noticeably struggled to track his runners when he came on, not sure that’s attitude or inexperience.

Thought we were largely poor there really, I think we need to be putting three in the middle for games like that.

Good point. But ndaye is a headless chicken. Thought dcl worked hard today, little service. Not sure wots going on with tarky tho.
A headless chicken who kept one of the best full backs in the league quiet and made him barely cross the half way line then he got subbed off after ndiaye kept skinning him. Then ndiaye switched to the other wing and got the other full back booked after merking him.

If the fans of a long-suffering club cannot lustily celebrate a critical penalty save by its best and only international-class player against a former player who couldn't wait to leave and who is being linked with our local rivals, well, we might as well give up. Because we don't win trophies as it is, so what else have we got.

Secondly, would we have celerated a goal as lustily? Of course we would. And would we have been accused of celebrating that "like we have won the league? No, we wouldn't.

That save was no different than a goal for us - well, a goal for us scored into his own net by Anthony Gordon.

We'll take it. And, oh, how we'll enjoy it.
I agree mate ,had Gordon scored we would definitely have lost that game.
As dreadful as our tactics are the players played to the managers instructions and can not be criticised for the effort put in.
It's a sign of the times but I am happy to be walking away with a point our only target this season is to stay in the Premier league and start next season with new owners and some more hope for the future.
