Sunday is a big game. Spurs are so inconsistent at the moment. If (and I know we’d need to score at least 1 goal for this to happen) we could beat them, we’d only be 4 points off them in the table.

At the end of the day, most teams we will play have both a better starting 11 and better squad (bench). Therefore, we are likely to lose more than we draw or win. Also the third oldest squad in the league with a lot of players who won’t be here come the end, so personally have little to lose.

The years of mismanagement were bound to catch up with us eventually. Feel we need a miracle now. Finding two or three players we can afford, are willing to join us and have the ability and bottle to make a difference essential - not sure who and how though.

Agreed. At least there seemed to be a plan other than just hoofing it up the pitch. The rest of our season is going to be made or broken by the transfer business in the next couple of weeks. Can’t afford any more rubbish signings like Harrison and Lindstrom, need attacking players who can hit the ground running.
Yep get rid of Betto,Bambi,Harrison and bring a box to box midfielder a center forward and a right midfielder and dont ask Thelwell

Clutching at straws, but Moyes always liked a slow winger, so fingers crossed he gets something out of Lindstrum. Likewise he decided to change shape completely rather than straight swaps.

Still largely crap though.

Hopefully he punts doucoure out and plays Armstrong more, and the sooner our other CMs are back the better, then maybe, MAYBE, we actually score goals in games.

Long end of season ahead

At this point I'm fed up of everything. I can't stand the self important podcast blues, even the shareholder chairman lady who acts like she's the queen of Everton putting a reef on Remembrance Day.

I thought moving to a new stadium would change this. How wrong was I.

Some signs of encouragement there.

Observations
- Harrison & Lindstrøm nowhere near good enough, must replace with a quality wide option.

- Doucoure plenty of endeavour & pressed well but severe lack of quality in possession; can be used in certain games, but let’s get Moyes his Cahill / Fellaini option this window.

- Before the game I’d have said LB is top priority; Mykolenko played well today though and looked better with more license to get forward. Still needs addressing this window if possible.

- Teams were evenly matched and only difference was quality finishing between Watkins & DCL.

- Happy to see a different Plan B off the bench with Moyes going to a 3-5-2, should’ve resulted in a goal but DCL wasteful.

I actually felt after the first half that there was something in the game for us if we just cut out the little mistakes in the second... so of course, we didn't

Definitely some positives to be taken. Possession must have been much higher than usual. Getting players forward. Should have had a pen and DCL missed a guilt edge chance at the end. Moyes has had no time to really look at the players but no way will the team be the same for the next game. Harrison was poor and Patterson needs to play. I'd be happy with a back 3 too.
