The result wasn’t what we wanted, but I felt we were in that game and could have won it, with better finishing. It was a million miles away from the “Dyche Ball” we have endured this season.

Yes we need to add players to the squad, but to see us go 352 and try to get something out the game was good to see, I actually believed we could get something, too many times this season we have been 1-0 down and made no change, just blindly lumping it forward.

Same think i would have put harrison armstrong on today i kno a kid but has it in him to play that killer pass to the forwards. Was let down by quality again out wide and in the middle. Getting players back mcneil garner ect help massively. Also transfers get a player who can actual offer something on the right maybe pushing ndiaye into the middle. Dont think could have argued if was a draw we did get lucky with the chances they had but also had some

Negatives

I know it’s slim pickings in the squad but Harrison, Doucure and Tarks shouldn’t be starting matches - hopefully Moyes was just taking stock properly.

Squad still reeks of Dyche walkers negativity - that will take some time to coach out of them.

The referee had a horror show. Disgraceful decisions - think he was the same the last time he reffed us, we need to complain.

Positives

More attacking intent on show, more threat from the fullbacks, more intensity across the park.

Change of shape when chasing the game.

Loads more possession.

Bit unlucky to give the ball away for their goal.

Back Moyes in this window and I think we will be ok, I wouldn’t have said that with Dyche.

Can we please fire Doucoure into the Sun? He runs around a lot and makes the effort but he’s a poor footballer. We were chasing the game and he was absolutely gassed on 70 mins.

I thought Villa were quite controlled and impressive. Ref had a shocker and Dom had a difficult chance at the end.

Not a bad response to the new manager tbh

I’m not usually one to throw too much at the idea that a referee favours one team or another, however many of the decisions he made (or didn’t make) tonight were laughable.
You can be sure that certain players from certain teams are getting that properly looked at and given.
On the box they looked more at DCL than Lindstrom. Lindstrom was def a pen
And not mention after that.

I’d love to flip the script. Other than Pickford, Branners, Illy, maybe Mangala and Gana, I’d swap out just about all of them with different starters. And leave Tarkowski, Doucoure and all the rest on the bench. Use only in emergencies.
