Match Thread Everton 0-1 Aston Villa - Wednesday 15th January 19:30

I love going the game and have done so throughout the last few years of garbage. However, I’m proper excited to go for the first time in a long time. Not because I think it’s gonna be an Everton onslaught but because there is new hope and expectations about what could happen.
As an Evertonian it's the hope that kills you each and every time

Just wanna see more energy, creativity and teamwork from them tonight. I’m sick of watching Dyche’s slug-ball tactics.

Oh and no Doucoure anywhere near the starting 11, in fact nowhere near GP tonight.

2-0 to us UTFT!
Absolutely this. If we see more energy, creativity creating chances, and teamwork, I won't complain. I could even stomach a loss. Also, I hope Goodison is absolutely rocking tonight.

Moyes rarely strays from the 4-2 -3-1
exotic for him is a 4-3-3.
Might see Patterson and Young as full-backs IF Moyes thinks an attacking 10 minutes might get the crowd up for it!
Mangala and Gana are shoe ins so the big questions are:
does he trust Lindstrom?
who gets the third MF spot Harrison or Doucoure (youth vs experience)?
might he be tempted to play N'Diaye more centrally?
He has only had a couple of days watching these on the training pitch and reviewing the last few games so I dont expect cataclysmic change

Coleman and Young as the wing backs?! Villa will be laughing to themselves for about 20 minutes in the warm up.

Myko is only getting dropped when another LB is signed although I guess Young could shift across if Patterson is selected on the right.
As they both have done in the past, nevermind the fact that both played as wingers in their career as well…yes.
