Its not simply a problem with the players. We struggled to score at the start of last season with those players in the squad (all be it not always playing).

Today was more goals from defenders and set pieces. Against a non league team.

Are the midfield and forward line we had today really that bad they can't score against a non league team?

Really?

Of course not. The problem then lies within the tactics, formations and style of play we utilise.

Better players will help but its not the only solution. If we played more creative, intelligent, different football in the final 3rd we may well see our goal return increase. And that can be achieved from better players and better tactics.

I believe there was a comment on the radio today along the lines of "qith the players Everton have their movement should be too much for Tamworth to compete with, and apart from that one good bit of play just now it hasn't been good enough".

Its like buying a Ford Escort ghia and then taking it up to 9000 rpm before changing out of gear. You've got a decent enough car, might not be a Porsche 911 but its more than capable if you drive it properly. Instead of crawling along at 26 mph in a 40 zone then slamming your brakes on at the last minute every time.

We need to use what we have better until we can improve on what we do have.

Would you be saying that as "gear" like the rest of the world outside Liverpool do or would you go with the scouse version as in " a ford kay-ay guy-a"

Driving home from the match, Moyes said on the radio that this was the easiest time if we pick up injuries as we are in the transfer window where we can bring players in. Looking at today's performance, it's not just injured players who need replacing. We showed little attacking options, with no vision, lack of passion and lack of team spirit.

Not replacing SP and MA removes all the midfield creativity. We have strikers with no service.

Please please David, buy a creative midfielder.

Ps. He also said there wasn't much happening on the transfer front...Doh!!!

What....we have strikers ?

I've just read Tubey's match report. The general theme I got is that Tubey wants me to slit my wrists...

And to think we won the game... ?!?

FFS.

What part is wrong?

Yes, it's pessimistic, but that's because it was an awful performance.

You beat whats in front of you that is what matters. Macclesfield away 2009, was hardly awe inspiring. Thats the FA Cup.

The key thing is to win the game. The way some are going on you'd think we'd lost!
