Moyesy admits he wasn't happy with the showing but the question is,what does he do now? He has to give them a bit of a hard talk now cos we have missed two glorious chances to be about 6th/7th by now and I wish that he realises that Cahill is not the answer this season. He'll score one goal after every 5 or 6 games and buy a ticket for the next 10 but that shouldn't really happen.

Put Saha,Yakubu upfront and see what happens. Mikel,Billy,Heitinga,Pienaar in the midfield and that's a good looking lineup. Have Cahill on the bench to make him realise and bring Rodders on for atleast 15 to 20 min and you can assign hi any role in the world,he'd still put up a good show.

Osman will be dominated in the center of the midfield again by Petrov.

For moyesy, unfortunately this all seems hypothetical to happen

Camped in their box :D

Unless you mean literally camping like you do in the countryside on a nice summers day.

We sure as hell weren't camped in their box creating chance after chance. Seriously did Green have to make a save?

And you honestly think we were looking for a thrid? Yeah right.

Take off your blue tinted galsses and stop being so off with the guy cause he supports another team, it gets boring after a while mate.

Fact is we didnt deserve to win anymore than they did.

I've never liked their fans. From having a mouthy one sat behind me 15 years ago with a mouth like a sewer. Through the whole Tevez affair, them spending money they didn't have (now look at them, 30million spent of on Kieron Dyer. The whole Parker affair, 70 grand a week? having a laugh there.) through to their game with Millwall which frankly, the sort of behaviour that got Everton prevented from competing in Europe in 1985.

And yes we were camped in their half. So much so Neville was overlapping with Billy in front of the Main stand. That says alot.

Did they actually lead at all in the game?

No.

That says it all. And yes we were looking for a third, or didn't you see where Pienaar was on the pitch?

Anyway. I couldn't care less what West Ham fans think of us. In the slightest. A set piece and a counter. Never lead in the game.

And they're gutted they didn't take three. jesus wept.

Go on then. How many shots off and on target did they have compared to us?

Thats slightly more important than having possession and not doing a damn thing with it.

To be honest neither side really deserved to win it. Our goals came from 2 defensive cock ups.

See no harm in one of their fans being a but gutted at the end of not winning it when they were clearly more up for it in the second half and we looked like we couldn't be arsed, better team on paper or not.

I think our midfield dominated 1st half. Tiredness kicked in 2nd, especially Osman then we started losing possession stupidly.

Thats when Arteta and Fellaini are telling. With them in the team we use possession better and that has a marked effect on tiredness levels being lower over 90 minutes.

Agree with the Rodwell should have been on earlier for Osman or Cahill but Moyes isn't infallible. But to criticise him like some do is a joke as his spotting of players and acquiring them on a budget more than makes up for that.

People as are still going on about Coleman. He's for next season. Also we can't overplay Rodwell.

Trouble is people don't consider things like tendonitis or strains or energy levels.

2pts lost. Really Everton shouldn't have gotten into a position of giving the ball away straight after getting the second. It should have been pass move pass move pass move.

One or two of our players should know better given their experience. Pienaar in particular.

Oh and I couldn't give a fig about West Ham or their supporters. They've gotten away with things for years and all this "you were quiet" to us on here, from this "West Ham Fan" is typical of a set of fans that are more interested in the opposition supporters than the football because their team is rubbish.

*coughs and splutters on kernels.

done that in a cinema, finished buttered corn and for some reason the butter in the bottom looked appetising so i slugged it and sprayed about 1/2 the multiplex with kernels and skins as I nearly asphyxiated on all of 'the bits.'

Agree with all that.

But our supporters weren't quiet. I mean, did you see them celebrate when Howard saved the penalty, looked like we'd won the cup.

]Firstly I am not a kid,[/B] I have been going over the Boleyn since 1967 as a six year old.

Secondly you may have had possession but I think we made the clear chances. I can not think of Green making 1 save in the game. Your 1st goal was down to a very poor headed clearance from Spector. We had the penalty miss, Cole should have scored when he dragged his shot wide in the 2nd half & Noble hit the bar.
So overall we could have come away with a much required win.

It's a colloquialism , lad . Merseyside-ish , if you will . Odd to come on a Scouse Forum and take issue with our speech , but there you are .
Oh , and we should've had a stone-wall penalty , in what I shall repeat was our WORST performance this year - or equal to - I would suggest this was your best .
I also don't remember yous doing much pre-corner you scored from . The game was shoit for me . No movement , no fluidity , and yous had 2 banks of 4 . Don't blame you for it , but it's a fact nonetheless . We weren't good enough to get around the outside as we would normally do .
Yous weren't all that though .

Brilliantly summed up there.

West ham won't play that well again all season.

Yes it was a wall of noise from the Gwladys.

Thats why I find it patronising when someone comes on here blowing bubbles out their a*se, saying things like "you were quiet" just because our supporters don't act like blerts, because we're busy watching the match.

It was like Wolves last week. They spent more time singin songs about us than about their own team.

As I say, did West Ham ever lead in the game today? No. And Webb had a mare fortuitously for them it turned out.

Had to put these to the sword, like we had to put Wolves to the sword. Moyes used a Wally quote after the game "Disappointing". Thanks for that eagle eye. That he also mentioned a few bad calls this weekend seems to carry with his afinity to SAF.
Loads of possession in the first half and we just failed to make it pay. Are we really so one dimensional as to be so totally different with the addition of just one player - Arteta? If so, we might as well start from scratch as it is supposed to be a team game, if they cant or wont raise their game to play when 'our superstar' isn't then we are flogging a dead horse.

Overall? Could?

The possession says a different story doesn't it? If you were sitting there in your chair at halftime saying that you could come away with the win, I'd have accused you of smoking something. The only team that ever looked like getting three points was Everton. As it stands, we took the foot of the gas and paid for it. It took a fantastic goal from your lot to get a point and a great goal it was.

But West Ham was never ever getting three points today.

Well well.

When I first read the "It's On" thread, I figured most of the posts in there were from those who don't follow Everton that much.

Come on, we're Everton. We don't have the consistency and EVERYONE of you just knew one of these results in the run in was just waiting to be had. Well lo and behold, we've had two back to back in Wolves and West Ham.

So no, it is most definitely not on. When we learn to close out lower table teams consistently AND compete with the upper half table teams at the same time, then we might say that it's on. Unfortunately, we haven't learned to do both.

Someone started a transfer thread a few weeks back that asked what did we need most. Well, the last two matches have answered that question in spades. We need another creative midfielder that can do a similar job to Arteta. When he's out, our entire form and ability suffer. We can possess the ball but we can't unlock defenses that sit back and absorb the pressure. Another Arteta type player (along with Landon) would be all we need for the summer. Now, I certainly won't fault the players work ethic today. I recall several times in the first half where we were diving in to every 50/50 ball to try and win it, and the crowd by the sound on the TV appreciated it.

Oh, and the next time some numpty starts a "Has Yak's Time Come?" thread, I'm gonna neg rep them all the way into next week. The guy scores goals and had the winner today until we switched off. I can't imagine us ever wanting to get rid of him.

Credit to West Ham for coming at us in the 2nd half and what a spectacular cross and goal. Can't fault Jags or Heitinga as that ball was as perfect as you could get.

I guess the only good news today was that Brum tied the [Poor language removed] so the [Poor language removed] can kiss fourth goodbye as Man City have a game in hand on 'em.

I'm still really miffed, we beat united, Chelsea, city twice and push arsenal close, yet can't beat wolves or west ham. Not happy Everton

So are we [Poor language removed] again?

Obviously until we walk all over Villa, then we're boss again.
