Don’t understand what happened second half

They took off a centre half and brought on a striker at half time and we barely capitalised on that

Who had been contributing nothing to his team. Shapewise they were utterly confused for the first half. Failing to score a 4th is a concern but you can say they have improved in the second half.

Also prior to being hauled off O'Brien has been producing some shocker interceptions, just not as shambolic as Keane's ballwatching.

I re watched the last 20 mins back , this time without the impending sense of doom and I thought Spurs were far from all over us and a ‘last man to the pumps’ scenario. Yes they scored twice and some players at fault but we rode it out. Thought Patterson was promising too

Yeah I was impressed because we still tried to build and create instead of just hoofing it and retreating back. Both goals came from individual mistakes not a sense of panic. Keane ffs.

First half was almost Pepball, high possession and attacking. Only thing I could fault was not winning headers. Some of the best football we've played in years in that half.

Subs really killed us in the second half esp taking off Ndiaye. Understand Moyes thinking and Patterson isn't a bad player but the momentum going forward really dropped off. Keep up performances like this and we'll stay up.

Sure Spurs had injuries and that doesn't help. But they still had 3 top players in their front 3, and some of the players they brought into the team cost big money - like 30 or 40m signings. They brought a 60m forward off the bench.

If these players aren't good enough to come in and perform when needed, then they shouldn't have spent big on them.

We played well enough to win and were clearly the better side. We ran out of steam late on but for 85% or 90% of the game were in control. We would all have agreed before kick off yesterday that the only thing that really mattered was getting the points.
