Sure Spurs had injuries and that doesn't help. But they still had 3 top players in their front 3, and some of the players they brought into the team cost big money - like 30 or 40m signings. They brought a 60m forward off the bench.

If these players aren't good enough to come in and perform when needed, then they shouldn't have spent big on them.

We played well enough to win and were clearly the better side. We ran out of steam late on but for 85% or 90% of the game were in control. We would all have agreed before kick off yesterday that the only thing that really mattered was getting the points.
This 60m forward is 20 in disguise…

We did more than enough to have the game won by half time which was great to see. I thought that getting fresh legs up front alongside DCL would have kept the pressure on their back 4 and we might have got a fourth. They got back into it with 2 very soft goals, more down to poor concentration rather than physical tiredness. Good to see us put to the sword a team out of form that everyone else seems to be able to beat on their day. Next Saturday will be a tougher test but thankfully it will be after a week of Moyes working to solve some of our issues instead of Dyche preparing for another backs to the wall, 35% possession game plan.

Lets stop making excuses for Spurs.

Wealth of attacking talent on the pitch.

The likes of Archie Gray who nonchalantly dropped 40 million.

Let's give ourselves a pat on the back when we beat these teams instead of making excuses for them.

The media loathe to gives any us credit so let's be hard faced about it.
Too right. Watching them warming up in front of us and thought, despite the cry-arsing by Spurs and the media about their missing players, that the majority of those on show would walk into many a premier league side.

I’m gonna sound really negative… but with a hint of optimism too. I don’t think we played particularly very well and the fact we were facing a depleted spurs side bereft of any confidence probably made us look a lot better than we actually were…. However in saying that, it was encouraging to see us try and play football, getting the front foot, create chances and score goals. I believe things will continue to get better over the next few weeks but rest assured we will face much sterner tests ahead and need to be up for the fight.
