Although we're hard to beat, personally I feel we hit a brick wall creatively some weeks back. We're hardly creating chances, let alone scoring them.

Massively frustrating today. Typical Everton though, a team everyone expects us to beat and we defend like schoolkids 3 times. We were the better team in the first half and some of our football was great, but our final ball just wasn't there.

Heitinga's fault for the first goal, Benteke made him look like he was running backwards. We never looked organised from the corner and follow up that they scored their second from and allowing a free header 7/8 yards out is awful. Howard's fault for the 3rd goal. Why didn't he claim that cross that came into the 6 yard box? Very poor, it would have relieved all pressure and they wouldn't have got the opportunity to score again.

There were a couple of plus points though. Darren Gibson make a monumental difference to our midfield. Our passing was faster, which allowed our attacking players to make more space for eachother and ultimately we got ourselves into several dangerous positions. Also, Oviedo looked lively and good defensively for the 25 minutes he was on.

And one final note. Villa committed 23 fouls today. Twenty three. That's a foul every 4 minutes give or take. Make of that what you will.

Was looking at backing the draw and Benteke FGS all morning but **** out in the end. Saw a lot of people sticking us in their bets and knew they were throwing money away.

Why do we get the instinctive feeling that poor teams with atrocious form will always give us a terribly hard game if we're on a roll? Moyes has been here long to enough to see that too surely? If he can't address the psychological approach to the game then he can damn well address the team sheet he puts out.

He already learned his lesson after pitting Heitinga against Kone in the 2-2 draw with Wigan, so why does he do it again against a player with a similar combination of pace, power and agility that Heitinga just can't seem to cope with?!

We should have been practicing putting good corners in the 6 yard box. (most corners was woeful today)

Not a lot of football being played by Villa, but their hit and hope tactics are working so far

the fans are not happy and are down because we didnt improve our squad, i dont think its no coincidence that we bought at the end of Janaury and it gave the club a boost for the end of last season. also the same this summer, we have a good start cos we get the signings we want. If we got signings on thursday the club would of again got a boost from it. this could be our start of season bad run.

also how crap was Mike Jones today, he looked clueless, he is well out of his depth at this level. also im sure ive seen him before
