Anyone who think we have a chance of getting Lukaku on perm deal are off there heads

Take the blue tinted glasses of for one min and ask yourself why he would want to play for us long term

A loan extension and having him here two seasons is about as good as a "long term* deal these days, because no team outside the CL could acquire then keep hold of a talent like that for more than two seasons.

We must hope Mourinho is as stubborn about his own judgment as he usually is and resists bringing Lukaku back into the fold. That's not a bad bet, tbf. And if we get two seasons from Lukaku that has been quite simply a magnificent bit of business.

We have a very good chance of a loan extension as long as Jose does not want to cash in on him to fund other targets

I would think there will be a few clubs here and abroad looking at the lad in the next 12 months

That would be the bigger danger, tbf.

The lad has obviously been patient in his dream for CL game time.

Anyone with half a brain will know that with Lukaku this Everton team can go places. He'll be top dog here, he knows that and he'll have a big say on what happens next Summer will Lukaku. Its not as impossible as some of you are making out.

......being devil's advocate, what if somebody was very interested in our most valuable asset and that somebody was Mourinho and that asset was Barkley. That could spark a very interesting negotiation, suspect you know what I'm saying.

Barkley and Lukaku have to both remain. They're key to our longterm development.

We have to find other ways to raise money to buy Luka.

Why on earth would we swop Barkley for Lukaku. Not a chance and I'd boycott the games if that happened.

RE: Lukaku I think ( fee aside) he can feel wanted at any club, as a blue i would love to think he feels a bit special at a club that isn't the usual run of the mill place, he has a place and a fee. It's probably worth mentioning that both his and Et'oo contract end at the same time.

His fee will be very large, a very high fee at least £20m

Jose loves Everton though, and has said on record he " doesn't like" the RS & while I'm grasping at straws it would help Chelsea indirectly if he sold us Lukaku..

£20m at least - no idea where it's coming from but stranger things have happened. Chelsea are not short of cash and it's never paid up front anyway.

I'm not a manager but you would have to think Jose wants him back and to be starting at Chelsea as his main striker next season? May join a Chelsea board and get their feelings about him and their hopes for him.

Because once Everton has touched you...

Back in the real world

What can we offer him?

Other teams can give him more wages and the chance to actually win things, He will also want CL football

I have no doubt that after 12 months here he will always have a soft spot for us but by no means will that be enough to persuade him to sign on a perm
