I have little to no experience in set piece tactics.......How do we actually go about rectifying our sh!teness in that area?....What are we doing wrong? we used to be boss at it, but I dare say we have been pretty average at set pieces since Timmy left....

Thing is though, a win yesterday would have done incredibly good for the confidence of the team cos they would've gone 3rd or 4th by beating the ****e.
Its now 3 consecutive draws and already we're the most drawn team this season. The next few games are extremely tough and the Stoke game at home is crucial 6 pointer. If we can then maybe surprise Arsenal or Utd with a win or a point it'll be okay

Should have been a red card, no doubt, but after the likes of Rodwell, Clattenburg, Suarez vs Mirallas, Suarez vs Distin, Hutchison, Kuyt, Gerrard, I have no clue how they have the nerve to complain about refereeing decisions.

Mirallas would have had to knife Suarez, piss on him, then shag his wife, all in the centre circle - and only get a yellow, to get close to evening things up.

I almost said: sell him and get Lukaku in for the money.. however I like Baines too much, so keep Baines and get Lukaku anyway is my new tought.

Wouldn't be enough to get Lukaku, but we need to find a way.

He, Lukaku, has copped a lot of criticism on here today for his performance, but he's 20, and look at what he can do even on an off day.

How good could he be for us in as much time as we could keep him?

I dont know mate. After coming from behind twice and then going in front, I think it was understandable the players would think that they could see that out last few minutes or so. Psychologically it was natural. I defo dont think it was instruction from martinez to do that, btw.

Deulofeu: for me still best left on the bench to impact, but getting there bit by bit for a start. Also still needs and pick a pass.to [/B]get his head up There is no escaping that fact.

He'll learn that over time, but not with us, unfortunately. He's been criticised here today, but I love the way he plays.

He makes poor choices, sometimes, but he has all the skills and in time he will probably be special.

A lot of drama today in a day were lots happened. So much that I need to watch that game again.

First half we looked nervy at the back and allowed a silly goal for their first, Mirallas poked home beautifully to level and I don't think it was a free kick for their second.
Second Half we dominated, as soon as Barry went to left back we were awesome. Deulofeu should've scored when one on one and Lukaku's second Mirallas done exceptionally well again. We had them, should've won but it wasn't to be. My head hurts.

Yes it was. Barry stamped on goofy's foot. Don't mind that but it's still a foul.

Aside from the poor defending for the frees- which needs serious sorting - as soon as each foul was made I had my head in my hands - both Barry and Distin should NOT have given those away.


Discipline around the area has to be better.

This team no longer relies on Baines as our main attacking outlet. So refreshing to see our side creating lots of chances with him off the pitch.

At this stage I think it would be wise to cash in on a 29 year old left back who this season hasn't been firing on all cylinders. He a fantastic player but there's times when it is best to get a decent fee before it diminishes.

Jeez, after those two free kicks at West Ham a few weeks ago he was the best LB in the league, Europe, the world, take your
pick.
