That would be a boss team like, not sure if thats what this thread is about like as both the previous era's are of success and in the modern day the lads i included in that team would have to step up if we want to see those days return.
 
If it's choosing one from each category, then it would be for me.
Southall, Coleman, Baines, Labone, Ratcliffe, Steven, Reid, Bracewell, Ball, Barkley, Sharp.
Tough to leave the likes of Sheedy, Kendall and Stevens out
 

I reckon this current team would wipe the floor with the 1970 one and beat the 85 one, but that's just because of technology, diet, new tactics etc.

Having said that, you've got to go by how good they were at the time compared to everyone else. Dixie Dean probably wouldn't get a game for Tranmere now.
 
put Baines in the 80's team and we have a winner, no wait put...no hang on erm...I love them all can't choose.

Chetaed a bit but that would boss it for me
 
Too young to really know about the 60's team and 80's was just before I was born (I was born into medocrity)...

But would imagine Baines, Coleman and Barkley are the three that would be challenging to get into the team at the least.
